Too junky even for a costume.
Hat was not sewn together at the bill. The pipe is an obvious plastic toy. I needed the set for a role in a comic play, but the junkiness would have been a distraction rather than a support to the performance.

Perfect for the price!
I was a little hesitant to buy this because everyone complained about things being broken, but I ordered it anyway and I'm really glad I did! Everything came in great shape and the hat is really cute, but I did have to snip the elastic band inside of it because it kept wanting to slip off. It's also lighter than in the picture (definitely more white than dark grey) and the pattern is more houndstooth than the picture suggests, but it goes with the rest of my costume I'm going to be wearing at work. I was pleased with it, especially for such a cheap price. If you're looking for inexpensive accessories that actually look pretty well with the rest of the Sherlock costume, I would recommend this.

great set for a Sherlock comedy
The set works fine. My son is Sherlock in his high school play, The Secret Case of Sherlock Holmes. The hat fits a little tight but works fine. The pipe is perfect size! he was a little sad he couldn't blow through it but he was happy about the look. The magnifying glass gives a comical look, just perfect for the comedy he is in. I search a lot to find the perfect pipe and hat. This was the only pipe I could find that was big enough. The hats that were perfect were way to expensive so we settled on this set.

It's exactly what you think it is
Cheap costume. The magnifying glass is real though which is pretty funny because I assumed they would just be fake looking props. The pipe is 2 pieces that are glued together. You may find out about that halfway through your costume party when the glue keeping it in one piece decides to not do that anymore. I used blue painters tape to fix it which was probably the least conspicuous fix imaginable.

Great costume!
I wore this to an adult Halloween party. It was easily recognizable and was great with a tweed blazer. The hat was a little uncomfortably tight for a large-lady-head; there is an elastic band around the rim that got itchy and annoying. But thats the only real reason for pause. The pipe and magnifying glass really set this off. The magnifying glass actually works! I have a feeling this set is going to come in handy for many years to come!

Hat was small, but elastic in it was able to stretch for an woman adult's head. My 3 year old was also able to wear the hat no problem. The magnifying glass and pipe are nice. All over this was a really cheap and effective costume kit. Everyone got a kick out of it when I wore it to the Sherlock special episode premiere.

Great fun
This set worked out perfectly for a little skit. I thought the hat was a better quality than I had expected. Many people complained their pipe was broken. Mine arrived whole and didn't appear that it could be easily broken. All in all, I felt it was a good price for the product.

I was worried about the hat fitting because I have a pretty massive head, but it fit no problem. This is a nice costume hat, but definitely nothing of great quality. The hat is unlined and has an elastic rim to prevent from slipping off. The ribbon on top of the hat is also elastic. Comes with the pipe and magnifying glass. I'm overall quite pleased with this!

Inexpensive Gag Gift - you get what you pay for
We got this as a gag gift. The materials are cheap but as a gag or one time use it is a decent price. The pipe came apart almost immediately after taking it out of the container. But it was easy enough to slip back together.

Works for quick costume
Pipe broke when got it. Def not a high quality costume but it works for quick costume. Hat was not what i expected. Didnt wear it as it was very flimsy
