(Scroll down straight to review if you want to skip ‘dee short intro) Okay, so I really do like this bra set. To be real, I bought this set for the nude bra alone because I’ve been on a desperate search for nude-colored bras that are 95-100% cotton to wear for under my white T’s when I go out. (This bra is 90% cotton, but that’s definitely good enough given the limited options out there... and sheesh, I whole-heartedly feel for some of you ladies who have allergies to synthetic fabrics ????). My reason being as of this year I’ve been quickly ditching all traditional bras (especially underwire) and switching over to either very simple bralettes or all-cotton lounge bras (aka Fruit of the Loom so-called “sports” bras ... AKA what I consider crop spaghetti strap bra/cropped tanks top bra, imho) whenever I am not going braless. For health reasons I just prefer to let my ribcage breathe rather than be constricted by tight bands, suffocating fabrics and metal wiring. If it can be helped. So even after my recent switch to bralettes, most in my stash are made of 100% synthetic fabrics. Very quickly I noticed that, compared to my cotton-based bralettes, the synthetic fabrics are hotter, not as breathable and make me sweat more. As a result, I have been finding myself heavily drawn to wearing natural fibers instead, so I’m now more picky when choosing bras to purchase. This FOTL brand has TOTALLY spoiled me (????) cause they make such great 100% cotton undergarments and I grab for them almost every time. My only problem is finding a nude color in (mostly) cotton bralettes/bras. They are extremely hard for me to find, whether it be online or in store. That’s because smooth, underwire-free types of bras tend to automatically fall under the “seamless” category (in other words polyester/nylon/rayon/spandex and ALL the like). While I am in need of a nude bra that looks smooth under a white Tshirt, I want it in a natural fiber — not plastic. LMBO. That’s where THIS bra comes in. Alright. On with the review. This bra set gets 4 STARS from me. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ My PROS: • I love that it is NOT padded at all. It is lightly-lined but DON’T confuse it with “lightly lined” as in having a really thin pad inside, like some bras define it as. This one literally has two layers of stretchy cotton fabric and that is IT. Nips (the color) did not show through the bras, neither for the nude nor the white. Was surprised by that one, especially given the fact it’s only two layers of cotton. Please note, these are a pro for ME. If you are, for example, looking for a bra with a little more “padding,” then this bra is not for you. • The cotton cups were very comfortable. It felt pretty light-weight, breathable and barely there. I could even see that it would stretch to accomodate more breast volume as well. After three kids, volume for me isn’t as much as it use to be but i’m okay with that ????????. But I digress... • Generally well-made. Sturdy, nice seams. Strong hooks. High quality fabric in my personal opinion, even though it is meant to be a light bra (weight-wise.) My CONS: • Alright, I will add to the small band rhetoric going on here in the review section. While cup size was perfect, band size does seem to RUN SMALLER. I am a 36A and this bra fits me like a 34B (which is my sister size). And I am talking about having my bra hooks on the loosest setting, which is 4 hooks — not 3. Based on bra fitting rules, if you go up in band size, you have to go down in cup size. So for me this means, if I size up to a 38 band, I have to go down to AA in cup size. Unfortunately, there is no 38AA option for this bra. So i will have to stick to this available size. I can always purchase a bra extender if I decide I need to. Also, to avoid shrinkage i will definitely have to handwash this in cold water exclusively ????. With that said, the band is very sturdy and nicely made but runs small so definitely size up on the band when purchasing, if you have that option. My general measurements: Height: 5’2” Weight: 112-118lb Typical bra size: 36A NOTE***: I have included pics of the bras for you to analyze. I took close-up pics of the cup fabric so you can see the material and thinness of it. I hope the images can translate that well. Some previous reviewers mentioned a mesh material on the inside of the cups. There is NO mesh on either of mine. My best guess is the company probably heeded the complaints of some and removed them completely (or else previous reviewer recieved an older model of it?? Who knows.) Also, the band size on both of my bras are consistent. (Good. I can’t afford to sacrifice any more inches on that thang.) One may appear to be slightly shorter in the pic, but don’t let it fool you — I just couldnt get it to perfectly lay flat, LOL. Last but not least, the lighting from my window did contribute to my nude-colored bra to look a lighter in the pictures than it really is. So do consider that. Welp, there’s that. Well wishes to you on your bra search, lovely stranger. ????????
