Pulls wires

Works fine!

I used this flat steel fish tape to pull a network cable over a 38 meter plastic pipe. It worked perfectly with no issues. Highly recommended. No issues.

Fully unwind/untangle upon receiving.

The media could not be loaded. Fully unwind it and untangle it upon receiving if it is bound up.

Couldn't extend it

I couldn't get it to extend. Got frustrated and just tore it apart to get enough line to just finish my job. There's gotta be a higher quality product with a better dispenser.

Really good if you need about 2 feet.

Will not extend past two feet. Every negative review is the same issue, so I'm guessing poor quality control during assembly. You can see in the pic that the cable overlaps itself, after two feet, it will not extend anymore. The fix takes about 15 minutes, and it's not hard, but it is annoying. 1) Take the three screws out (the last one is under the big sticker), 2) Let the fish tape unravel, and 3) Try to straighten it out as much as possible (which will make rolling it up easier). 4) Feed through the handle slot, then 5) put the sides back on and 6) Screw together. Now you can roll it back up correctly and it will unreel just as easily. I'm glad I only had to deal with 25'. Maybe I'm weird, but having to disassemble a brand-new product in order to make it work is not one of my preferred activities. The sad part is, once you fix it, it's actually a nice tool, but no second chances for first impressions.

Works great with one caveat

Great tool at a very competitive price. As other reviewers have mentioned, though, it is EXTREMELY difficult to unwind and rewind on its first use. However, after unwinding it in full one time and rewinding it, it gets much looser and easier to use. After getting it unwound the first time, it works great.

No es como la imagen de muestra

Compre esta guía para reemplazar a una marca argos; cuando llego me di cuenta de varias cosas: 1. La imagen es diferente al producto (ver imagen anexa). 2. El dobles de la punta para enganchar el cable es excesivamente grande para la tubería de 1/2 in que se usa normalmente en instalaciones residenciales. La puedo desdoblar, pero corro el riesgo de debilitar la guia y que se rompa en el momento que mas la necesitas. 3. Es excesivamente difícil sacar la guía y al tratar de hacerlo suena por dentro como si algo crujiera. La manera que he visto que funciona es jalar el extremo de la guía enganchándola en un reja o algo de apoyo. 4. la manija Fuera de eso la construcción de la carcasa se ve bien y la manija no se ve tan delicada como la argos. El grosor y material de la guía es igual al que tenia la de marca argos pero viene con la distancia grabada en la guía lo que la hace muy conveniente para calcular el largo del cable que vas a meter.

Get what you pay for.

First time I used this it was wouldn't feed out of the housing properly. The tape actually popped out of the housing. Once I was able to feed all of the wire out and rewind it. It seemed to be ok, but you have to be cautious with it. The cause I would say is because he quality of the plastic used for the caseing is too flexible... If it where more rigid, I believe it would work better.

Worthless

Bought to run ether net cable through walls, i received it and unwound about 180cm crunching noise and it became impossible to unwind further, was sent a replacement, this time it unwound 90cm and crunch. Don't waste your money on this product the fact that both of the ones i received were defective means quality control is non-existant
