Many decades ago, I worked for a company that sold this brand of boot. I'd forgotten the name in the ensuing years, but never forgot how well they fit- or how comfortable they were. When I decided to replace the work shoes I'd been wearing (which wore out quicker than I'd have like), I decided to ask a buddy what the brand was (he still works for that company from long ago) and sought them out. I placed my order through Prime Wardrobe to give myself some options (some shoes don't fit right, ya know?). The Skechers were too tight (I've had great luck with their walking shoes, though), as were the Wolverines. These, though? Crazy comfortable when I tried them on. I kept them on all day doing housework to try to determine whether they'd be comfortable enough with extended wear (without scuffing them up so I could still return them if needed) and they were. I didn't even feel the need to change the provided insert (something I almost always have to do due to tendon problems in the sole of my foot). After a month of 10 hour a day wear, five days a week, I'm still happy with the purchase. The only thing I don't really care for is that they aren't all black (they had some gray in the "breathable" fabric parts- but that's just a personal preference), and the plastic "stud" eyelets are my only area of concern- but they seem made from sturdy PET instead of a lesser, easily breakable plastic, so my fear might be unfounded.

What a boots.

I hiked the marble mountains in california with these bad boys and they did great. Kept my feet protected while climbing jagged rocky areas and kept my feet completely dry while crossing streams and wet areas. I suggest breaking them in pretty well before attempting a difficult trip like that, the blister on my ankle would agree. By the end of my trip though the boot started to feel more and more comfortable and flexible. Great boot, well put together. Leather held up great even when i scraped it against some pretty sharp rocks. Also for a protective hiking boot it is fairly light making it a great tool to have on your next out door trip.

Best boots!

I have been wearing these boots for years. I walk on concrete so I wear out the soles quicker then other people. All the rest of the boot is still in great shape. Took away all my foot and leg pain.
