Works on mice, the rats either avoided it, or stole the bait without getting zapped.
I had two large rats that would raid my chicken feed every night. This trap was charged and baited and each night the bait would disappear, but no zapped rats. If a house mouse when in, it was dead when I checked the trap. I suspect the voltage/current is sufficient for mice, but not high enough for Norway rats.

Not rats yet
We've put chunky peanut butter and still no rats, my husband seems to think they may not like the swining doors at the ends of it. We've had this device for some time now, putting it in thier path but still no rats. We got the traps that have a tunnel and then snap down on them and it has caught several rats in the same amount of time. I was hopeful but it hasn't worked for us.

Rechargeable and convenient
Washable, easy to use, I have used it in the basement and the chicken coop and it works well. Make sure the battery isn't low to avoid a prolanged ineffective zap.

Works great.
I have a few mouse cage traps and the mouse often was able to escape from the holes on the wire and gaps in the door. It’s pretty small but somehow it’s able to get through. I bought even smaller ones but they seem to avoid stepping on. This trap did better since it’s a solid ground and they were able to get in with less hesitation. It’s battery powered so I can place it pretty much anywhere indoors. I’ve caught 3 already and I’m pretty happy with it. I recommend adding a motion sensor camera pointing at it. I was able to see if I caught any during the previous night and clean up as needed. Overall it works pretty well.

Did not work at all
Followed the instructions supplied. Charged the battery over night. Put a dab of peanut butter and corn kernels in the center and set it out in the garage. Mouse droppings all around the outside, but nothing inside. I put old school traps out along side this trap, and they worked as designed. Moved the trap to another location where mice been and got the same results, nothing. I cannot say this trap works the way it was designed. I did buy regular spring traps, and they are working well.
