Excellent Clarifying - Non-Stripping, & healed my dandruff (fine, thin, wavy hair)

I don't like to leave reviews right away, I want to actually use the product for awhile so I can leave honest and helpful feedback. I have fine and thin naturally curly/wavy hair that on it's own is limp and shapeless and needs lightweight moisture and protein to behave itself. However, because I do have to use products like that, I need a good clarifier that takes the product off of my hair and scalp, otherwise my hair will get weighed down terribly. I use this shampoo every 2 or 3 washes and I typically wash my hair every 3 or 4 days. It leaves my scalp feeling refreshed and clean, and I no longer get dandruff after incorporating this product into my hair care routine. I used to get it every winter and it was uncomfortable and unsightly. I like that this product definitely clarifies my hair and cleans my scalp without excessive stripping or drying. I follow it up with a lightweight moisturizing conditioner with protein like earth clean beauty volumizing conditioner and use curlsmith feather light protein cream as a leave in and styler. I let it air dry and then scrunch out the crunch with Nuxe huile prodigieuse.

Great for wavy hair

I love this shampoo for my low porosity wavy thick/coarse hair. My hair is prone to dryness and I feel like this is not stripping but still clarifies well! I use this to clarify every so often when I feel my scalp and hair have product buildup. 10/10 would recommend!

a shampoo that does what it says it does!

I had been using a specific brand for many years. I didn't another Giovanni hair spray, it too was great. I couldn't believe the shampoo was great! It does what it says it does, it made my hair shine, and my scalp feels great! Great rinsability and the large bottle will go a long way. [I have shoulder length hair and use 2 "plunges" of shampoo]

Another good one from Giovanni!

Giovanni shampoos, conditioners, and even styling products are amazing. If you're looking for more natural, health and eco-conscious beauty products, try theirs; They've (as yet) been the most reliable brand I've found in hair care. I've used other brands (well known and otherwise/ cheaper and more expensive) and always come back to Giovanni for performance, and the assurance that if I use one of their products, I'll at LEAST really like it, if not be in love with it. They must test these products out to excess, because every single one I've tried works, and works really well. And one major bonus to their products, in my opinion, is that they ALWAYS smell like natural botanicals, not like chemicals. They never make my sensitive nose react to the fragrance. The scents are never really strong, but they're there, and they're pleasant. If you want something that will really clean your hair and scalp, this shampoo is worth a shot. If you tend to be a little on the oily side, or like me, believe that you should let your hair get a little oily before you wash it, this shampoo may be the one for you. A lot of the natural shampoos have a difficult time competing with SLS products in terms of getting rid of oil and really making your hair and scalp feel clean. That's harder to do when you aren't using sulfates. This shampoo, however, does a great job. It'll really clean your hair, but doesn't go overboard. Not to mention the shine you'll have. It looks like I used a shine serum when I didn't! Personally, I prefer the Tea Tree shampoo they make. That one is number one for me in terms of cleansing. In my opinion, it cleanses even better, and allows me to wait just a little longer before washing. (I like to let the natural oils from my scalp moisturize and protect my hair.) This one is just a little less stripping, which is good if you're washing more often. I would say this one is middle ground between the Tea Tree, which is really clarifying/cleansing, and the 50/50, which is more moisturizing. If you haven't tried their products, give them a shot. For myself, I've been able to test all of their shampoos (except the Root 66, so far) and I like them all!

Curly Girl Method Approved

This shampoo is great at cleaning my hair. It is curly girl method approved and I use it as my clarifying shampoo before I deep condition my hair. It had a nice tea tree sent to it. I bought it because swavy curly courtney did a youtube video on it. I will be buying more. I also bought the conditioner and I love it too. I use the conditioner as a co-wash. I recommend giovanni hair products. They work well for me. I have fine thin oily wavy hair. they both work well at removing the excess oil off of my scalp.

Good Monthly Natural Clarifier for 4B/4C Hair

I like it as a clarifying shampoo for my type 4B/4C fine, medium- high density, high porosity natural hair. From time to time I like to use a clarifying shampoo to really get my hair clean and then use a moisturizing shampoo in between clarifying shampoos to make sure my scalp is clean and free of product build up. I use this when I need a fresh start. I never double cleanse because I think it would be too stripping and I follow up with a moisturizing shampoo to restore a bit of moisture before following up with a deep conditioner. As for the hydrating part I do feel like my hair does overall have more water attracted to it (that’s what hydrating is about ) but it’s not moisturizing (there’s a difference between the two) as it did not leave my hair lightly coated or soft. It felt clean and slightly strong. I would not purchase if you’re looking for a gentle cleansing moisturizing shampoo that’s just not what it advertises but I agree it is a good clarifying shampoo. I also just love how natural the ingredients are and haven’t had scalp issues since using it in conjunction with aloe vera spritz on my scalp. For curliest especially or people with dry hair I’d just make sure to follow up with a conditioning treatment that’s really going to bring that softness and moisture to the hair.

Does what it says and never disappoints

I love this shampoo. I've been using it on and off for years (I have curly 4b/c hair that is quite thick but can suffer from a lot of breakage. This shampoo just does the job, leaves my hair feeling soft and clean and I love the smell. I thought about trying another shampoo from the line but thought if it ain't broke why try to fix it. I also used to use the leave in conditioner which I love. I love Giovanni's products as they're vegan, cruelty free and organic and do a great job for my hair. I would definitely recommend as I think its definitely worth the price and it never disappoints.

The best shampoo ever for curly hair

I have tried a million shampoos for my 2b curly hair and I have never, ever found such a kind, invigorating, cleansing shampoo ever. I am recommending this to all my friends and family no matter what hair type. Very difficult to find a sulphate free shampoo that leaves your hair squeaky clean with so little product. Curly girl friendly, smells beautiful and good value considering how little you need. Please try this shampoo, it is amazing!

A good quality shampoo

In my experience, this is one of the better quality shampoos. Unlike other shampoos it has a shorter ingredients list with many beneficial ingredients and fewer harsh chemicals. The tea tree oil can be overpowering when it gets into your eyes, so be aware of this! I find that this shampoo thoroughly cleanses my hair and the bottle lasts a long time (I wash my hair every 2 to 3 weeks), which is good because it is a bit pricey! I would recommend this product.

Lovely shampoo

This was a repeat purchase as I like this shampoo a lot! I follow the curly girl method and this fits the bill nicely! I alternate between cowashing and using this to remove any product build up. It’s good value and smells fab!

I loved the gel form this line, but the scent of this shampoo was not my fav. If you like some minty smells, it could be the right one for you, not for me..
