Good socks

They are thinner than the Gold Toes that I bought before and the black socks have a gold toe instead of the gray toe from before. But, overall, they are excellent socks

Quality has gone downhill

My dad used to only wear goldtoe as he insists on quality and the soft feel they used to have and he was willing to pay more for that quality and they lasted him years and would buy 20 pairs at a time and they literally lasted 10-15 years. When it came time to get new ones, I purchased some for him to try as he stated the last time he bought them, they weren’t the same. I read through and looked at many versions of goldtoe before buying these as the softness was very important to him. He did not like these socks and is convinced goldtoe must have sold out the company, so we are both very dissatisfied.

Not at all like gold toe fluffies you remember

In my photo, the new socks are on top, washed several times, the original socks are below, washed hundreds of times. These new socks are not like the originals, different weave, too tight around, and too long for my foot, difficult to pull on due to tightness. I washed them inside out to try to get rid of all the sock bits that got stuck in my toes during the day, but , this did not help, still make a mess of sock bits in the shower or walking across the carpet after I take the socks off. I was asked to choose how does it fit, too large or too small... both, too large length, too tight girth. I would return these, but I had washed them when I got them, hoping they would fit after washing. I had had read that gold toe had gone downhill, but, I live abroad, and was hoping to relive my past sock experiences when I ordered these. Do not buy these, they are not like original acrylic gold toe fluffies.
