Not 5 star warmth

The sales rep at our ski shop highly recommended these gloves as the warmest available so despite the few reviews on Amazon, I purchased them and gave them a try. We then went skiing where the weather turned really cold; 5-22F averages in the daytime. My fingers were freezing even after putting hand warmers in the glove pockets. I know the weather is extreme, but I expected more from these gloves. I usually never use hand warmers, so to lose feeling in my fingers with the hand warmers was really disappointing. I was the crazy lady shaking my hands on the lift, shaking my hands while skiing downhill and shaking my hands in line. Boo. I should say that my feet and the rest of my body was warm enough given the conditions. No problems with my ears, nose, or toes. So I definitely think the gloves were just a bust. I I would rate these gloves for above 30-degrees F. Other than the poor warmth protection, the range of motion, comfort, stitching etc were all excellent.

Great for very cold weather when combined with liners/warmers

I purchased this for a cold hiking trip at Arches National Park in the winter. Pros: - fit my hand, I selected my size using the companies size chart - has wrist attachments to that you can take your gloves off without finding a place to put them or worrying about them falling off - the gloves easily attach to each other for storage Cons: - Just not warm enough on its own for VERY cold temperatures...The trick to keeping your hands warm in really cold weather is combining this glove with a product like Hot Hands in the palm of your gloves.
