Product arrived open and did not work.

This product arrived open and clearly used; this was apparent just by looking at the packaging. I tried using it anyways and it did not work. The product was brown and it seemed to me that it had probably been exposed to air too long. I ordered a replacement because my daughter really wanted it, but for some reason I am expected to run errands for Amazon and return the defective product that I never should have received rather than just being refunded. So I’m not super satisfied with the customer service on this one. I don’t understand why, when I receive a defective product that should not have gotten to a customer, I have to do this… chances are I will not make the return in time (because who has time for that crap), and I will end up paying for the defective product in addition to having to pay for the replacement product that my daughter wanted. Also, FYI, the rating and review text are now separate. After typing this review, I would have given it a five star rating had i not tapped on the rating button and manually changed it. To be fair, the product worked fair with the replacement, hence the 3 stars. My kid has platinum hair, but we did not receive the desired color Intensity and it did not wash out as soon as it was supposed to.

Not to bad.

I used the red Rouge color on my daughter's hair. She's a dark light brown and it colored quite nice for what product is. It's a pretty red and it has stayed in 2 weeks so far it slowly fades and stays in baby hairs much longer. The purple did nothing for her didn't even change color. Haven't tried another color just because her hair is dark. I didn't notice any scent so I know it didn't smell bad. My daughter gives a thumbs up. And wear gloves lol doesn't come with.

Not what I expected

I thought it would be a more vibrant, bright, purple, but it was more pastel purple :(

The dye doesn’t stain your clothes

I’ve bought this dye a couple times because compared to other blue dyes I’ve used, the color doesn’t come off if your hair is not dripping wet. It doesn’t stain my clothes at all. I love the scent as well.

Product works, don't understand bad reviews...

First of all, I do not understand the bad reviews saying 'the product doesn't work as described' and 'it didn't come with instructions' because, with all due respect, I believe it's mostly user error and not product quality. On the tub itself as shown in my picture there is an arrow on the label, lift that up and it provides.....tada DIRECTIONS as well as, the recommended hair color it would work on best. Not to mention even if it didn't provide directions, you could always use the directions given in the description on Amazon. But anyways, leave it on from as little as 5 minutes to as long as 15, and voila, done. I did mine just today and it looks great! I provided before, during, and after pictures. Hope this helps anyone who is confused and considering buying this product. IT WORKS, if you can follow directions. ????

Vivid color

Don’t forget to wear disposable gloves. Works pretty good. Keep in mind it is very temporary color. Don’t use a white towel on your hair after using it or you will no longer have a white towel. I liked the color.

I got purple!

I use conditioner and hair masks more than I dye my hair with and actual hair dye. My hair had been previously bleached. I had a tint of very faded out red in my hair but this is my end result. I used this on dry hair. I love it when the natural light hits it. The products did have a lot of flake off when applying but it did not stain my skin nor my bathroom counter. It did not stain my tub when I washed it out. I just used regular shampoo/conditioner to wash out. This is a great product for it’s price.

Bummer. Color wasn’t really purple on my daughter’s sun bleached hair.

First, I’ve used the pink before on my daughter’s sun bleached hair. It was great. Easy to use. Smells fine. Unfortunately, the purple turned more brown than purple. Just not a lot of bright color. My daughter’s hair just looked her natural brown color. It wasn’t vivid at all. So, bummer. Probably we’ll use the pink again.

Not a true purple

Instead on buying manic panic because it wasn't available I went with this one. With all the pictures showing purple packaging, purple background , saying PURPLE it was NOT purple... has a VERY red tone to it even on my blonde hair... when I rinsed my tools off even the water didnt turn purple.. it is VERY mauve like almost burgundy. I did a test stand and that was it.

Looove!!

Probably the absolute best semi permanent hair colour I've ever used. Lasts forever, colour is super intense and leaves hair feeling so soft.

Does not wash out as noted

Product worked great. However it has been almost 2 months of daily washing and there are still full strands of pink and my overall colour never went back to original. I’ve tried different shampoos and washed twice a day sometimes; I’m going to the salon to get back to my original colour.
