Solid Solder Holder
Holds a TS80P well without the tip touching the sides. Solid build and breaks down nicely. I'm very pleased with not burning myself regularly (and the table and whatever crap I have sitting near it) trying to balance it on the little metal loop on the brass wire holder. If you don't already have a brass wire sponge, I would recommend the model that comes with it instead of the little yellow sponge, though it works alright.

Iron Holder
Great iron holder, it was not packaged well and had to repair from shipping damage. The plastic tip was cracked, epoxy fixed. We live remotely and it costs more to ship back.

Sturdy and portable
Subbed the sponge for the Hakko brass cleaner cup so now I love my setup. Loosen the screw to separate into 2 pieces for portability (for bringing to class or if you wanted to make compact for storage).

Good stand, fits Weller W60P iron
I needed a stand for my old Weller backup iron and this fits well. Also, the Hakko brass wool cleaner (my favorite) fits in the sponge area. Note that the genuine Hakko wool "scouring pad" is flux coated, and the knock-offs usually are not. I have the Hakko FX951 as my primary iron and it's great, Hakko makes good products. OTOH, I still have my Weller WTCPN from 1980 and use it for secondary work.

Flimsy construction
Excellent idea, in concept, however, the iron holder is 'tack' welded to the base. It broke off within a week. The replacement was sent, pronto, however... the plastic(?) ring piece that couples the iron to the holder was broken in transit. The overall construction of individual pieces is solid, but the assembly of said pieces was not~!~

Works as expected
Heavy enough base so that it isn't easily knocked over. I didn't use the sponge and instead used the can with mesh, which fits perfectly.

UPDATE-HAKKO POOR QUALITY-FELL APART aGain.- UPDATE-*Arrived broken. Flimsy. Req replace.
****UPDATE HAKKO POOR QUALTY BROKEN AGAIN****7/31/22 Do not buy- NOT RECOMMENDED. Too late to return or Amazon. Worked for 2 or 3 solder jobs. Used again today and fell apart. ********** **UPDATE**6/3/22 Replacement next day seems better. Tack weld seems better but have not used yet. ***************** Arrived broken. Holder tack weld broken. Unusable. Otherwise appears sturdy besides the weak welds. I have reported to Amazon for return/replacement. They are sending replacement next day. **Recommended with caveat. **
