Not the quality known for Hamilton halters. Hardware is electoplated aluminum
I realized from the beginning this halter didn't have nice hole grommets or brass accent at the end of the top-strap but I did not expect the hardware to be very light weight aluminum and electroplated to look brass. I took a small file and filed the cheek piece just enough to see the bright white (aluminum). Not going to return but the quality is not what they used to be.

Great for the money.
Great color. Somewhat thin, but that makes them so much easier to buckle. My horse is very old and couldn't break a halter anymore if she wanted to. Yes, she it that horse that has busted several leather halters. But even in her prime I don't think she could have broke this halter. I love how adjustable it is. I also have an Arabian and this adjust great to her head. I only gave it 4 stars because I doubt it will last as long as thicker halters do. Not from breaking, but fading and the nylon getting stiff.

Black halter may fade out to purple , choose another color ,
I am a huge fan of Hamilton Halters . They fit my big cheeked QH the best . However , I am disappointed in this one . After having it for awhile the black halter has turned dark purple . It has not been in the sun , or cleaned with anything . This has never happened before .

Hamilton Nylon Halter
Hamilton is a good product, sturdy and super strong, and best of all it's adjustable both around the neck and mouth for a good fit. I have a hard time getting a halter to fit our shetland stallion and pony halters are too small but this one was perfect because of the multiple adjustments, and heavy duty. I'd highly recommend this company. Other companies have very flimsy halters that don't hold up and also are only adjustable around the neck, but not Hamilton.

I have a Belgian Draft mare and it barely fit her. It will only latch on the very last hole. Other than that the color and quality are good.

Strong and Tough
I needed a halter that would withstand chewing and yanking by another horse. I have been through seven halters in two years! They all broke through the metal fittings or the stitching breaking. The only one of all the ones I have used was an old Hamilton halter that I got years ago. The Hamilton that I just bought was the same, tough, solid , high quality product as the old one and is all that I hoped for. I expect it to last a very long time.

Tolles stabiles Halfter
Ich habe ein stabiles Halfter gesucht, welches ich in den Sommermonaten benutzen kann um ein Fliegenband daran zu befestigen. Dieses Halfter ist wirklich toll da es aus dickem Material ist und massive Beschläge besitzt. Die Farbe Mango ist auch wirklich schön und leuchtend. Das Halfter ist gerade vernäht und gut verarbeitet. Empfehlung!

Seemed great for 7 days ????
This halter seemed heavy duty .. and had a great weight. 6 days of use and its broken ... its obviously white metal and not brass like i thought. Our horse breaks halters like its an olympic sport .. so judge yourself accordingly.
