Amazing
My 1 year old son absolutely loves this!!!

It's a twofer
Might as well get blocks and a push cart in one, right? My kid loves the cart and I love playing with the blocks. It is very cleverly designed so the rubber bumpers hit the wall before the wooden wheels do. There are small axles sticking out from the wheels, but they are totally covered in rubber so no worries there. This toy is for a baby who is already starting to walk on their own. It isn't heavy enough to counterbalance a novice walker. Only thing I could possibly find fault with is the large piece of wood that forms the bottom of the cart's basket. I wish this particular piece was more sturdy - then the cart would last decades instead of years.

Fantastic for babies on the verge of walking, not for babies just getting their balance.
Love this! My baby was taking a few steps from the table to the couch and was clearly thinking about walking further, but needed a confidence booster. At 9 months, I assembled this in the morning, and by bed time, he was walking 12-15 steps unassisted from person to person. Within days, he was a walking machine. If your baby is ready to walk, this is really a great product. There is not a way to adjust the wheel tension, however, so if your baby isn't already showing signs of walking, I don't recommend this product - I think it would go too fast and the baby would fall down. I only give it four stars, because of something that is entirely our fault. As he only needed it for about a week, he found other creative ways to play with it. First, his most favorite, from day 1, was to stand on it like a Segway and have us push him. He also liked to sit on it and be pushed around. Of course, the pushing got a little out of hand, racing around corners and such. We popped off 2 wheels, one from each axle with the pressure from too-many too-fast corners. While this is not a flaw of the product as we were using it in a way in which the manufacturer did not intend, it did reveal a true flaw of the product. The wheels are attached to the axle only by the end of the axle being shaped like a drywall screw's sheeth, sort of barbed along the end of the axle and just pressed into a hole in the wheel. Further, the end of the axle isn't round like the rest of it, the sides are shaved off, so the "barbs" are really only on 1/2 of the circumference of the axle. Very strange.

Oh what fun!
We bought this for my 15-month old. He had been pushing everything (high chair, boxes, chairs, buckets) across rooms for some time so it seemed like something he would like. He loved it instantly! I had wanted one with taller sides so he could put more inside it but he an get several books, a stuffed animal, and/or the blocks in there. He has so much fun pushing it all around our living room. He figured out after only a day or so to turn it by picking it up and adjusting the direction, and he is anything but gentle when he does this (essentially slamming it back down on the floor). It's only been a few weeks and he's been using and abusing it and it's still in good shape, but I have had to tighten the screws once. I read reviews that said it was sturdy enough to sit in, I'm not sure I agree. I was letting him sit/stand in it at first but the wood on the bottom of the cart is just not that thick so now we say only stuffed animals and toys in the wagon (though it was really fun pushing him around in it, he's 20# and it didn't break but I just wouldn't trust it to hold). The blocks are wonderful, he loves putting them in the cart and I love building with them (bright colors and unusual shapes, they're easily my fav blocks we have right now) for my son to knock down. I'm sure he'll love building with them at some point but he's not into that yet. Great purchase, highly recommend!

It is amazing what the right toys can do!
My husband and I had a 10 minute conversation about how much we enjoy this item. We're happy with "Montessori" type toys and our 9mo daughter is not walking yet. She army crawls and is trying to pull herself up on to things. We got her this walker to help her learn to walk. We have had it for 3 days and she spends about 5-15 minutes a day with it. We could tell that she wanted to walk, but we were not "leading" or using or fingers to help her. We got her this and by the third day, she's scooting along and having a great time. The blocks that come in it are a bonus. We're really using the wagon/walker portion of it. We've actually taken out most of the blocks as an Amazon "A1" small shipping box fits perfectly inside the tray area. We've put some blocks on the side so the box doesn't slide horizontally. We've filled the box with lead weight (we're divers) to help weigh the wagon down and give it some resistance for pushing. This product comes almost preassembled. You only need to put in the vertical arms and the bright green handle. 6 screws are included and as is the allen wrench. The rubber on the wheels is also helpful for traction. Great product. Looks like this will last us through a few kids. We're happy and I'm happy to recommend it!

Love everything about this cart... Except the wood splintering
We love this walker cart!!!! I wanted to give 5 stars but just today I noticed that the wood is starting to splinter around the hole on the outside of the arm that connects to the push handlebar. This worries me because my little one is teething now and chewing on everything. I do not want the wood to splinter in their mouth... Very sad about this happening Before today, My little one had been using this for over two months -- almost ready to walk unassisted thanks to this cart :) Maybe I got a rare dud? I tried to exchange with Amazon but my window of opportunity has since closed. We have several Hape products for our child-- even a few unopened (Christmas gifts)... I will have to inspect them and keep my eye on them. Like I said, we love this cart... Just wish it wouldn't have splintered :( ----UPDATE 9/8/2014: I contacted Hape and described the problem. The customer service rep, Chelsea, was amazing! I sent her pictures of the splintered arms and she'd immediately said that she would ship out new pieces to remedy the situation :) Like I said before, WE LOVE THIS CART and now we are even more in love with the company Hape!! 5 Stars all around!!!

Exactly what I was looking for
I wanted a wooden, well-price cart to help my daughter learn how to walk. This did the trick and less than a month later she's up and walking! The cart is sturdy and well balanced so when she leans on it I can be confident it won't tip (like others i've seen). She really likes the block too, she'll push the cart and load/unload blocks in various places. The cart seems to be well made, it's been walking into walls and various object over and over. It was also very easy to put together. If you're looking for a simple wooden cart at a good price, look no further!

Slippery wooden wheels
Nicely made and colourful BUT the wheels are not good for carpet/hardwood/tile. They should be rubberized to grip for little kids. A normal little toddler (my girl is 9 months and 25 lbs) who is somewhat unsteady like most kids that age will cause it to slide sideways OR slide too far ahead and fall face forward. Solution: rubberize the wheels and tighten the wheel bolts to adjust tension to keep it from rolling ahead too far. The point of these things is to help steady child who is learning to walk - but in its current state from the manufacturer it's not great for this purpose. By the time a kid could use it as it is he or she is already good at walking and just using it as a toy shopping cart. Humble suggestion, Hape.
