Works well, definitely a must-have if you're trying to maximize your pack
I bought these to hold some everyday items closer to my back in my Sidewinder backpack. I always carry with me: a hand towel, a small (~3" x 6" x 2") organizer, a tennis ball or stress ball. I used to just stack these up in the bottom of the bag, but that essentially left a heavy rectangle of stuff pressing into my lower back. With these dividers, I can stand the organizer up vertically so it sits along my spine. I think these are intended to go perpendicular to the laptop pocket (like shelves when the backpack is vertical) but I'm using them parallel to the laptop pocket (to divide the front-back space in half). Because of this, there's now a stiff vertical piece along the sides of the bag, right in the middle. I suppose this helps the bag stay in its boxy shape, but it also impedes the water bottle pouches on the side. It took several weeks of bashing my bottle in there to loosen things up. It still sometimes gets snagged. I don't really discount this from the product; I think I'm using it in a non-standard way. But it does kinda suck. That said, I'm happy with them. Next time I travel with this bag, I'll be able to divide up the space differently, maybe making my headphones easier to grab, or protecting that bag of chips I bought at the airport.

The item is nice and they make the back packs etc
The current picture isn't exactly the same as what I received. Both sides are the soft side and they don't have the Hazard 4 logo but these are genuine. The dimension are not correct. FYI these are 10.5 inches long from where they bend at the velcro. The item is nice and they make the back packs etc. more sturdy and easier to hold items. Some others have a thin strip of velco so they get moved around but these are pretty firm.

Great for camera bags and backpacks.
These work great in Velcro friendly backpacks and camera bags. I use these for my camera bag. The default amount of partitions are never enough.
