Beautiful jacket, great color and very light weight

Beautiful jacket, great color and very light weight. I love the cut and design, gives it a really modern edge and the different textures give it interest. I am 5'4" and about 125 pounds and ordered a small and it seems (to me) to run slightly larger than normal but should be perfect for layering. In fact, I ordered the coordinating vest in the same color to layer as needed as well as the same color raincoat so I have all my options. The only thing I can't speak to is how warm it is as I ordered this in April (in Florida) for an upcoming trip out of country in the summer. It definitely seems to hold it's warmth when I tried it on however, I can not speak to the protection it gives in cold climates. I will have to update my post at a later time but out of the box, it is fantastic!

A glorified vest for $165

I bought this given it's style and having heard great things about Helly Hansen. However, while it is stylish....it does nothing to provide even the slightest warmth. The sleeves are cotton jersey knit which provides no warmth whatsoever. For $165, I expected more. If all you want is a stylish outer garmentas a vest, for that price, then it is fine. Otherwise, it is far too pricey for what it offers.

Great jacket! I now own two!

I love this jacket! It is my second purchase of it. I wanted to be sure to be able to replace the first when that became necessary due to wear, so the second one is insurance in case the jacket is discontinued by then. I wore the jacket mostly for outdoor walks and shopping in moderately cold winter weather. (-4 C. to +4 C.) I really like the wide and versatile collar which can be worn opened out or closed together in several stages. The thin sleeves are not bulky which is great for walking, and also add a breathable quality, though they might feel inadequate in strong cold winds. I wore this jacket almost daily for 5 months and cannot really detect any visible signs of wear. I often wore a fanny pack over it, and that area does not show pilling from the belt on the sides. My jackets are the black color. I weigh about 125 lb. and found the jacket roomy enough to wear a long sleeved T-shirt or add a thin vest or undershirt when desired. Note that the collar is all black in color, not light gray on the inside, as depicted. I think the black color is preferable. This would obviously not be considered a warm winter jacket in a cold climate. I often do not review products I have purchased, but wanted to give this jacket the good review that in my opinion it deserves!
