A pretty tie up shade

I'm not a huge fan of tie up shades but they do work for certain purposes. I have a lone window that doesn't get much use so I wanted something simple and something I didn't have to fuss over. After adjusting the length of this shade I was pretty satisfed with the overall look. The quality of the shade is surprisingly good, super sturdy, the fabric not at all flimsy. Given the thickness of the fabric it does block out alot of natural light however. The pattern is pretty and not over the top. Overall I'm happy with this shade.

Window drapes

I have a very large window in my kitchen that just had blinds on it. I recently hang this window drape that has Mayan style decoration to it. It definitely pops the kitchen and makes it look nicer. Drape is made out of natural cotton material and it can be easily washed when needed. Colors are vibrant and there is still place for some natural light to come in.

Great 1960’s Boho Vibe Window Treatment

I absolutely love the main color theme of the design on this roll up curtain: a mid 60’s turquoise blue and olive green combination. The design itself is very retro and bohemian. It’s a “statement” type of design. The fabric is a lightly brushed cotton of substantial weight. The curtain is lined and sewn very well. It was easy to hang and easy to accordion into a balanced and draped “hang” (tip: pull the ties to the side, tie them, then accordion the drape and pull it through each side’s tie loop). I find it very functional for my needs: providing more privacy that was afforded by mini-blinds when my curtains are open. Sorry for the bad photo, but you can get an idea of how it looks under curtains and over blinds.
