Apparently these must have been returned

This is the second one of these we purchased. We had to work with hunter on the first one because we missed our return window. It had problems with the motor. We bought this one because we wanted to match the first. It came in a box which has clearly been through a lot. The tape holding it together is everywhere. It’s ripped and beat up. We like the look of these, but the issues are: 1. They’re impossible to balance. We followed the instructions but it was still off balance and you could not run it beyond speed 3. I finally used slo-mo on my phone to see where the imbalance was and you could run it up to speed 4. 2. The motor made a bad humming noise not related to the balance issue. 3. The startup sequence seems like there is something wrong with the control. It can’t figure out what direction to start in then it takes forever to get up to speed. Previous fans we had always immediately just started up without this nonsense. 4. It comes with a very short down rod which is unusable on a slanted ceiling. 5. When hunter asked us to return it for a new one, it was virtually impossible to unscrew the rod. They apparently used locktite “red” to secure it and that is supposed to be a permanent irreversible adhesive. 6. Hunter’s support is very responsive, but their logistics stinks. The FedEx QR code they sent did not work and it took us several tries before we could get an actual label. In short, unless you really have to have this style, avoid this fan. Or anything from hunter apparently. They seem to have sold out to a cruddy manufacturer.
