WISH IT WAS A LITTLE MORE POWERFUL

I DIDN'T REALIZE THE CFM WASN'T HIGH ENOUGH FOR WHAT I LIKE. MEANING IT DOESN'T MOVE THE AIR AS MUCH AS I LIKE. IT'S A NICE FAN THOUGH, QUIET.

Hunter never disappoints

I have 3 ceiling fans in my house. Two are Hunter brand fans and they have lasted a very long time. One was a different brand and it recently died after only a few years. We got this fan and we can't be happier. The fan looks great and more importantly works great. It is super quiet just like our other Hunter fans. It's a stylish looking fan with tapered blades. I have no doubts this fan will have a long life like my other fans.

a classic

The media could not be loaded. I don't know what took me so long to install a ceiling fan. I am on the top floor of a 1930s building and I was using desk fans at the foot of the bed for years, figuring that was good enough. I had remembered Hunter fans from the time I was a kid in hot & humid cities, so I Googled them and found this classic. Hunter is a private company run out of Memphis where I am sure it gets hot. I was a little hesitant about the low price point, thinking it might be cheaply made, but no. It;s terrific and totally silent. I hired an electrician to put it in and we were done in a half hour. One of the best purchases I have ever made.

Hunter fans are the best

Second one of these I've installed, after the first in 2019. Smoother, quiet, and easy to install. I added the light kits separately, and modified them by installing a https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B000KKNJDA 3-way switch. With the replacement switch wired such that one fixture is to the red wire with the remaining two fixtures on the blue wire, first pull gives you 1 light, second pull the other two and third pull all three. Lower ceiling install - impressed with the fan.

So far, I'm extremely impressed and I'm considering replacing all the fans in the house with similar models. To be clear, I ordered the Hunter 53240 Builder Elite 52-Inch Ceiling Fan with Five Snow White Blades, Snow White, Sold by Amazon.com LLC. I received exactly what was pictured - no more, no less. The fan cannot be "flush mounted" onto the ceiling. It needs to be installed with a down rod. Having a lower ceiling, I installed the fan with the smallest down rod that was provided. With that, the blades lay 11" from the ceiling (measured at the lowest part of the blade). During installation, which was not difficult at all, I was impressed by the quality of the materials. Electrical box screws are NOT provided, so I needed to go get a couple of those (standard 8-32 screws); however, wood screws are provided in case you need to attach the fan directly to the ceiling. Once installed, I had a very very slight wobble at the highest speed. I took out the included balancing kit, followed the instructions, and am happy to report that the fan is now extremely stable, and extremely quiet. If I have one not to positive thing to say, its that it has an annoying Hunter logo on the white fan motor (which you can see in the picture), and "Hunter Since 1886" embossed on the cover plate where other fans have a light kit. You can't help but get a Hunter advertisement if you look up at the fan. All that said, I'd definitely buy this again, and may buy more for other rooms.

Beautiful Classic High Quality Fan

I had bought 3 of these fans for my cottage when we had it rebuilt. They were so quiet, great quality and produced fantastic air movement that I purchased another one when I needed a new white fan for our bedroom. Doesn’t disappoint. I installed a speed switch on the wall which works great with the fan.

Great HUNTER fan for the price

Installed in about an hour in our master bedroom, Turned on hi speed no wobble and not to much wind noise. The 2 other speeds work fine, same outcome. Will by another one for my second bedroom.

Had not realized nor read that the downrods were only 2" and 3" as one of the pictures showed an extended downrod. I managed with the 3" but was replacing one that had a 24" downrod.
