Pretty Good Product
I have had these insoles for a couple months now. They are extremely comfortable. Even more so than a pair of comfort insoles. The metal plate is a thick gauge and I am confident it would keep a nail from ending up in your foot. The only two critiques I have is that they squeak like crazy. I have pulled them out of my shoes multiple times and applied lube to the rubber around the sides on the bottom. They are quiet for a few days, then they start squeeking again. I finally put a healthy layer of wheel bearing grease on the rubber parts. So far it has stopped the squeak. Second, the metal started to seperate from the insole. Perhaps it's because I have pulled them out of my shoe so many times. Either way the glue is pretty weak upon inspection. All things considered, when they wear out, I will likely buy another pair.

A must-have for carpentry work
My husband really loves these insoles, especially with his job as a carpenter. He first got them to help stabilize his foot through an injury without having to take off work. But even after his foot healed, he still wears them every day. They are flexible enough to still allow him to walk on a roof and other inclined surfaces, but strong enough to protect his feet from nail punctures and other sharp objects. A great purchase, especially for someone in his line of work.

Steel Insoles
I haven't had a puncture would through the sole of my shoes since I started using them. In my experience, the insoles tend to run a little large when used in work shoes. Obviously it's impracticable to trim them to fit so I'll probably have to buy a smaller pair.

AWESOME!!!
I got these after stepping on a nail and spending nearly a month in the hospital due to the injury. I LOVE THEM!!! They even made my shoes MORE comfortable!! I can see how, too. The stainless steel plate gives the arch support something much more hard to act as a base, as opposed to the usual soft material that comprises shoe soles today. Since I started using these, I have experienced significantly LESS foot fatigue. Personaly, I think everyone should have a pair of these!

I sure the item was great but ire turned it cuz it could not be trimmed to fit the footbed of my shoes
