Not quite as good as my first Irish setter but still a decent boot.

Great Fit

My husband has been a builder for over 20 years and has gone through plenty of boots. He swears by these! He is in his boots every day for more than 15 hrs a day. These last him 2 years before he needs a new pair and these are the only pair he wants me to buy him each time. We are going on 8 years of buying the same boot.

Wears down quickly

Bought these for my husband 7 month ago and they are already worn down with not heel and arch support. Other than that they are decent work boots.

Great pair of boots

So far these are a great pair of boots. I'm still in the break in period and figuring out their quirks. I feel like the heel is a bit looser than what I need, but I have a wide foot and narrow heel so was somewhat expecting it. I double my socks to limit blisters (dress sock then regular wool sock) but will probably look for a heel insert at some point. The laces seem a bit thin, but are designed for the D-ring eyelets. I may replace them for some a bit longer.

Third pair

Consistently. This will be my third pair. Second ones are still going strong, just too beat up for "public" appearances after two years.

Best boots I've ever owned. On my fifth pair.

Someday Red Wing will stop making these boots. The world and my feet will be all the worse for it. I got my first pair of these about six or seven years ago and I haven't bought anything else since. They are comfortable, supportive and hard wearing. I work as a contractor and wear them every day. They are nice enough to wear to an office and tough enough to wear to an industrial facility. A pair will last me just over a year before they're just too messed up looking. Mind you I don't have to replace them because they start to fall apart or the sole wears out. I just mess them up so bad that they look terrible. I recommend a good boot insole to go with them. This boot might not be for you, but nobody is perfect.

They are alright, once broken in

The first pair I purchased were too big. I wasn't sure how they would fit so I ordered a half size bigger: way too big. I returned them, No problems there, by the way. I bought a full size smaller, 9.5. One is a bit snug, but feel better as I hate when your foot slips back and forth inside the shoe. They aren't the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn, but I do like the look of them.

Good boot for the money.

Bought these for work, took a bit to work in they seemed to dig into the side of my foot a little at the start. They did get better after about 2 weeks of wear.
