Run very large with no way to cinch the waist.

These shorts would have been perfect for my 8 year old to go golf with his dad or for a nice Sunday brunch, but they run very big. He is roughly 59 lbs and he has over an inch of extra fabric at the waist as seen in the picture. I also tried them on my huskier 7 year old and they still fall down on him. Made for a much huskier build, otherwise good quality and make.

Not only do they look fantastic with a polo shirt for church, but they're also versatile enough for my son to wear on casual outings and family gatherings. The fabric is both durable and soft, ensuring that my son stays comfortable throughout the day. It doesn’t require ironing and looks great. The stitching is precise and sturdy, and after several washes, the shorts have maintained their original shape and color. The fit of these Izod shorts is spot-on for my son, but he’s strong and a little meatier than many kids his age. If your child is thin, these will be too big. The length is just right, falling slightly above the knee for a polished and age-appropriate look. The shorts also feature a convenient and functional design, with deep pockets that can easily hold my son's belongings. They shorts could be dressed up for a summer wedding with a button-down shirt or dressed down with a casual tee, making them suitable for a variety of occasions. The color is neutral and would look good with almost anything.

Breathable and light weighted

The quality and breathability of these shorts are very good. Due to the polyester material, they do not feel as thick as pure cotton shorts and are more lightweight. The fit may make kids look older, but overall comfort is still good.

I got my son his usual size in these and they fit as expected. They seem to be good quality shorts and they look very nice.

I bought these for my 10 year old. He just went up to a 14 in jeans. They are true to size. You can trust a brand name like IZOD.

Comfortable athletic fabric

This review is for the IZOD Boys' Stretch Performance Short (18, Provence Blue). My 12 year old is 5’5” and 115 lbs. It’s generally hard to find clothes that fit him as he’s in between boys and mens sizes but these fit true to size based on the size chart’s waist measurements. The fabric is light and thin and durable, similar to a quick dry athletic fabric, which my son finds very comfortable. These hit just above the knee. The only slight negative is that they do not have any elastic waist adjustment so a belt might be needed. I’ve always had the best luck with IZOD boys dress shirts; these shorts are also great and well worth the approx $20 price.

Nice Quality

Great shorts

These are really nice quality shorts. They have nice structure, the fabric is a good thickness and it feels like it will last for a long time. I also like the cornflower blue color. It's a nice change from the navy blue that most boys clothes seems to be. It has functioning pockets and we are very happy with this purchase!
