Lightweight, supportive boots

My husband is outside all day and needs boots that are supportive yet lightweight, and these seem to have fit the bill. He was very impressed with how light these felt on his feet. He's a size 13 and shoes that size are generally heavy. Fit was good. Out of the box, they're a little stiff, as expected but with a little wear they should be fine.

Attractive, may run slightly large.

Husband claims they are comfortable. He has wide feet, low arches, and usually wears size 12.5. At the time of ordering, the size options were limited, and 12.5 was not an option. We selected size 13, reasoning that this could give him more width (as opposed to ordering size 11.5) and if they were too roomy, he could double up on socks. Ultimately, his sense is that size 12 would have been ideal.

Amazing but narrow

I was so hoping that these were going to work for my wide feet. I have EEE feet and in the past Keen have been reliable for finding a comfortable hiking boot that didn’t constrict my toe box and arch. I’m needed a new pair and unfortunately the width isn’t there. I considered putting shoe stretchers in there though because if they weren’t so narrow I they would be five star boots for sure. Super comfortable, pretty lightweight, good looking materials and color. There’s an inner sock in there that I’ve never seen Keen do before which is a great plus. My foot locks in there nicely and everything feels supported and comfortable, the traction and grip feel strong.

Same size as his other 12’s

I’ve seen the KEEN brand before, and wanted to get these for my husband, because the pair of walking shoes he uses on his daily walks, already has a worn spot on his right heel the size of a golf ball. These are waterproof, which is perfect, in case he has to cross some puddles! Of course, the dog won’t care, but HE will. :) His socks and toes will stay dry with these great shoes. They are so well made, and they come with a black pair of extra laces, too. Nice surprise! I wondered if this size 12 would be the same as his other 12’s, because he couldn’t try them on, since they’re from Amazon. But I matched them up with the soles, and the size is the same. So glad! I recommend.???? UPDATE: The next day, my husband put these on and they fit perfectly. He went out for his walk, which turned into a long walk down the county road. I was surprised, because he hadn’t done that in months because of back pain. I knew right then, the shoes must have been the reason. He couldn’t stop talking about how good the shoes felt on his feet, which have some plantar faciitis. He said the toe box was roomy, but his foot didn’t slide around to cause blisters. His feet were well grounded with every step. He’s 82, and a Vietnam vet with arthritis and he’s 100% disabled. But he can walk. He also said the pain was so minimal going up an incline, he didn’t even think about it till he was almost at the top! He was delighted, and that says a LOT, because he is EXTREMELY particular, and a perfectionist. So, once again, I recommend these!????????

Lightweight, supportive

Super lightweight considering they are leather. I usually wear a 9 wide women’s and got a men’s 8. Fits perfect (touch large but fits great with thick socks). If you’re a men’s wide (think EEEE) these probably aren’t quite wide enough for you. Very supportive around the ankle. Waterproof enough to galavant out in the snow with good traction. Extra set of black laces included if green isn’t your thing!

Wonderful Boots for Hiking

These boots are very stylish, convenient, and seem to be well built. The nubuck leather quality is great, making it soft and supple. Over time it stretches and becomes even more comfortable. Rubber soles are not stitched but glued but they should be great for rainy/wet weather conditions. The size is accurate and the fit is as described. The toe box is relatively large making them extremely comfortable for long walks and hikes. I sincerely hope that you would find this review helpful.

Excellent Quality

Keen shoes and boots are so comfortable. I love the wider toe box that keen offers. I have had several pairs of keen shoes that have lasted over three years. These boots are super comfortable and they look great. The top has almost a duck type material around the top. They came with two pairs of laces a green pair which were already laced in and an alternate pair in brown. I highly recommend keen boots and shoes.
