beautiful, well crafted wall lamp

Having purchased and returned four other wall lamps after opening and finding they were flimsy, poorly finished, cheap looking junk I was beginning to think finding something nice in the $100 price range was impossible. We decided if the Theta was junk we were going to give up. I am so glad we ordered this lamp. It looks wonderful in our bedroom. The color is soft and rich, the design is simple but elegant. The lamp itself is sturdy and well made. The swing arm movement is smooth and because of the way the arm is articulated you can adjust the lamp exactly the way you want to read in bed. It takes a 3-way bulb up to 150 watts so if you are looking for a BRIGHT light, this is the one for you. We normally read on the 100 watt setting but imagine there are people who would use the higher setting. lastly, the shade certainly isn't fancy, but it is a nice color, texture and finish for a lamp in this price range. HIGHLY recommend. Note: this is a corded lamp with a very nice, matching, square cut metal cord cover. These lamps can also be hardwired if you choose to do so. We've had ours for almost 2 years and they still look great, are level, sturdy and functioning just terrific.

Looks Good...Sorta

The lamp has all the features we were looking for in a floor lamp at a reasonable price. As others have noted, it is nearly impossible for the arm to hold the horizantal bar well, horizontally. We struggled to get it to align straight, but just ended up frustrated.

I like it... little pricy for what it is.. but it looks good.

Wow.. you either hate this light or love it... after reading reviews, I was torn. But in the end yo can return everything. I'm happy to say this is staying on my wall. Seems a little pricy for what you get.. not the best build quality. I hard wired this and the hardware you get does not line up with a single gang electrical box.. I had to drill a hole (Thats just crazy) But it is hanging up and i am enjoying its look. If you want to warm up a rooms look, this is one way of doing it.

Beautiful Addition!

I love this lamp! It's heavy, solid and the lamp shade is a beautiful white with a crinkle pattern (not sure how else to describe it). Perfect in my living room (with the matching wall sconces). Nov 2014 Update Still love the lamp, the shade and the design but...yeah, it's not as sturdy as the other reviewers have said. When you have multiple pieces that you have to screw together they become your weak spots. Every now and then you have to tighten and adjust and if you feel the need to move the swing arm, it's just going to get worse. If you want a really nice lamp you'll have to go to your local lamp store and find one with a solid pole and a weight in the base. $$ but you'll get what you pay for.

Very Poorly Made

This product is a disappointment because it is poorly manufactured. 1. On one of the swing arms there is a female threaded receptacle to receive a male threaded screw on handle. The male threads are so undersized that they won't mount securely to the receptacle. I had to wrap paper around the male threads before screwing the parts together in order to get a secure fit. 2.The pivot between the two swing arms is so loose that the outer arm hangs at an angle even when the inner arm (closest to the wall ) is carefully adjusted to be perpendicular to the wall. It was difficult to adjust this inner arm to be perpendicular, and I ended up putting a shim between the wall and mounting plate to make the adjustment. 3. There was no instruction sheet or any other documentation included with the fixture. I won't be buying products from this company again.

Love the light but not too crazy about the shade.

Great lamp but shade looked too yellow with a light bulb in, no matter what type of bulb I tried. I bought a different shade from Target that looked like linen and they look much better. I don't regret my purchase but would have liked a different shade.
