Crazy expensive BUT...
The tool is very handy and a time saver. I used these a lot in the 80's in a Macadamia Nut orchard. Back then they were around $20. This is definitely a specialty tool to be passed down to the grand kids.

Pulls wire tight!
Awesome tool! Once you get it set properly on your wire it pulls way better than my old barb wire ring puller.

Great tool for when you need it
We were installing a 220' zipline in our backyard and I knew that I needed some type of tool to pull the cable tight initially because it would be too heavy to do it manually. Klein is well known for professional linemen tools so I knew it would be good quality. I struggled with this one and the one with the locking arm to prevent the cable from slipping out of the grip. This one was about half the cost so we went with this one. I still struggled with the cost for a tool that I would probably only use once, but to date I have used it at least 6 times and it is a lifesaver for what it does. I haven't had any issues with the cable slipping out of the grip. This is a great tool for what it is designed to do and I would now buy again in a heartbeat if I needed it.

FYI make sure to check for the correct wire size you intend on pulling/stretching, product is made of substantial material and is very sturdy. Can’t wait to put it to the fire test.

Used for barbed wire
This thing worked great!!! really hold the wire and the more you pull the better it grips. Installed some barbed wire on the fence and this worked perfect.

there is only one
If you are pulling tension wire, this is for you. I have used these for years, amazing i still have only one. it is that good. i pull tension wire for chain link fence, 500', 1/4 inch tension wire, no problem with a come along. terminal to terminal, this is your answer. if pulling smaller tension wire, it will slip, so you have to bend in a loop or knot, this will work for home owners, but is boss for industrial fencing.

It's ok if you have ideal circumstances.
This has no safety no prevent the cable from slipping out the side. If everything is aligned perfectly it's safe. Sadly that is rarely the case when working with trees( I tried using it to tension a 150 ft zip line. I probably had 1500# of tension on it when I noticed the cable pulling out of the grip. Yes, I did fly down the ladder because I fear being hit with cable.
