Beautiful but clunky

This stopper kit works fine but needs to be reset from time to time by removing the stopper and chain and then reinserting it. Initial unit failed with very little use. It was six years old but we never use that tub. Hopefully the second one lasts at least that long.

This is the only drain I would recommend for the K-863 Kohler tub

This is the only drain I would recommend for the K-863 Kohler tub. The plate opens the drain and rests flush in the closed position allowing a second bather to recline against it. Nice build quality.

Worthless as a drain

The pop-up drain plug is impossible to keep adjusted, and even when it does, the action of the lever only raises it about 1/16", so the tub drains incredibly slow. Have to pull the stopper out by hand to make it work. Avoid it, and as a result, avoid Kohler tubs that require it.

Plastic parts!

For the price of this drain you would expect solid brass construction. Well it even says on the description: "solid brass construction" However - the piece of the stopper that screws on is actually made of plastic and accidentally kicking the stopper while it's up was enough to break it.
