Quality is very high

I buy this filters for a long time now, about 2 years. Never ever had a problem with quality of this product. And for this price? You've got to be kidding me! Highly recommend to everyone who has that specific filters in aquarium! Thank you guys for making my life easier!))

These cartridges seem to work well I ordered the wrong size needed an extra small not small but I just folded it in half and it worked fine they weren’t expensive either

Really bad filter given how much this cost .

I recently placed an order with a reputable online fish store that does historically have a history of at least one mess up on their small orders (hey are massive breeders and mostly sell to stores and large aquariums, not individuals). This time I received 2 Betta when I only had a tank for a single betta. I rushed around on Amazon (I'm disabled and mostly homebound) and found what looked to be a perfect tank. No time to cycle it so I added some Tetra Safe Start bacteria and hoped for the best. The LED lights are amazing and the construction quality very good. BUT what is REALLY BAD is the filter. This filter consists of carbon and floss. Both good items to make your water clear but are useless media as bio-media, plus you throw it out every so often so even if it did have bio-beads you'd be tossing them each month. I would normally just replace the filter with a REAL filter but then the lid with the awesome lights would no longer fit. So what I did was throw some bio beads from another tank into the bottom of the slot for the filter. That way I picked up some of the biological "good" bacteria from my other cycled tank. I then put one of these overpriced filters in on top of the bio-beads. The filter cartridge barely sticks out and I can rest easy knowing there are some good bacteria in there from the other tank. The bio-beads will be there forever - I'll just change the carbon/floss combo periodically - who doesn't want shiny water? My complaint is that they are way overpriced, if the fit wasn't so tight and I could sew I'd make my own bags and put what I wanted in it. Like the floss and purigen perhaps -skipping the nearly useless tank filter bag - like the ones i bought with this order. It also took a while to find the exact size I needed - multiple ones that look nearly identical but didn't list the tank model as one that uses that filter. I eventually found it and they fit well even with my bio-beads in the bottom. My water remains very clear after a week of use (as it should with a carbon/floss filter) - but that's the ONLY thing this filter will do for you. by itself. So before using this tank get some bio-beads from another tank or a friend's tank that has been cycled and drop a few in the bottom of this filter before you add the filter pad. Then you can "have it all" ;
