Single Bowl Sink for older home remodel
Studied several single bowl sinks at the big box stores and online. Chose the Kraus-25 because of the specs and reviews. The sink arrived one day earlier than originally planned from Prime. Arrival day: shipping material was as sturdy and well designed as others have commented. The UPS driver actually placed the box in the entry way of the house when asked. The only unusual thing about the shipment, the box lid was not fastened to the remainder of the box. No tape, no anything except a friction lid, similar to a very large shoebox lid. Looked through contents, no damage and everything looked good. Day Two: studied the provided template and the template steps mentioned "provided fasteners." I could not find any "fasteners" or written instructions. Day Three: Looked at the Amazon site to determine how I could receive missing parts without returning whole shipment...no helps there. Called Kraus customer service...explained about the missing parts...they asked "which parts?" I said " all the parts used to connect the sink to counter," customer service asked, "which parts?" I said, "there is no parts list included," they said, "we do not provide that detailed of a list of parts." I said, " then how do I know which parts are missing?" customer service then became more defensive. "You mean the screws and nuts?" I said, "the template does not list, screws and nuts, only fasteners, clamps, etc." Kraus customer service said, " we can send you 8 screws and nuts." and I said, "if those are the missing parts, then send them." Kraus customer service then wanted a screen shot emailed to them of the Amazon order since they do not know anything about detailed Amazon orders...Amazon stocks the sinks at their warehouses. Kraus plans to send the "screws and nuts" in a day or two, then to arrive in a week or so. Day Four: If all appropriate parts do not arrive next week, I will exchange entire shipment through Amazon. [Will edit this review later after I receive the missing parts or exchange sink and then try to install.] Day Six: Kraus Customer Service "rushed" the parts order to the parts fulfillment department. Day Seven: Kraus notified UPS of package pickup. Day Eight: UPS released tracking number, they are using their "infamous and you'll get it late" UPS Surepost. Day Twelve: Received parts entitled: "Topmount-SS PART." These parts do not match KTM-25 installation manual I found at [...]. Will try to install sink using Kraus customer service provided parts in a day or two. Day Fourteen: Installed sink. Kraus customer service provided parts included cheap "plastic nut holder pieces" that are mostly garbage if one needs to secure the sink tight using the clamps. (I purchased Lowes' metric nuts to secure sink, their service was excellent). Over-all sink is good quality. It helps to have previous experience installing a sink. Conclusion: May purchase Kraus in the future. Will not purchase anything directly from Kraus. Next time, if I purchase anything through Amazon and there are missing parts, I will return the item(s) in full and seek a replacement if the missing parts are the only thing that are negative about the original product.

Great sink for the money with one tiny flaw
I thought I had written a review earlier and wanted to amend it today. If this is my first review let me start from the beginning. We remodeled our kitchen a few years ago and had never been happy with the sink we chose. Due to space limitations this is the only size sink we could fit and wanted a premium Stainless Steel sink in 16 gauge. Unfortunately we could not find a sink of this size other than 18 gauge or lighter ( lower number, better sink). By default this was the best SS sink we could find in 25 inch. Three months later we are still very happy with it and would highly recommend it. My reason for additional comment today is the little drainer basket that keeps your Wustauf knife out of the garbage disposer (yes that did happen years ago). The one that came with the sink is a nice little piece of workmanship but not too practical. It is made up of five seperate non magnetic parts that screw together. Today when the parts unscrewed most of them ended up in the garbage disposer which luckily was not runnning. Guess how I know they're not magnetic? Anyway when the parts were all located and Loctited back together I decided to buy one of those cheap stamped metal Chinese made ones at Wallyworld. Other than this one small flaw I still give it five stars 3-18-13 I want to add a comment about what I called a flaw. I guess if you are going to install this sink without a garbage disposer then there is no flaw at all. The garbage disposer I chose (Insinkerator) came with its own mounting system and drain plug. My complaint was unwarrented.

Big Sink Area
The stainless steel sink seems to be holding up under normal use, but I did buy a rack for pots and silverware to prevent scratching when we hand wash. We left a dirty cup overnight, and it left a stain. It came out after a few days so be careful with certain acidic items. I like the look as we did all Kraus.

I needed to replace my kitchen sink which was 25x22x9 and I wanted a stainless steel sink. It was hard to find a sink in these dimensions and I didn't want to cut a larger opening for a sink. I was a little nervous buying a sink without seeing it first but I have been very pleased with the Kraus. It is a good quality sink and it installed fairly easily. I did have to cut the opening by a quarter of an inch or so but it was close enough of a fit no major work needed to be done for install. Most of the stainless sinks I looked at in stores were very cheap and the deepest was only 6 inches. The Kraus sink has a higher gauge (thickness of the stainless) and with a depth of 9 inches pots and pans can easily fit in the sink for soaking and washing. I would recommend when putting pots and pans with sharp bottoms in the sink set them on top of a dish towel to avoid scratching the stainless. Follow in cleaning instructions that come with the sink and it will look great.

a good choice
We replaced a two sectioned sink with this one when we redid our kitchen counters. We like it a lot, although the man who put it in for us said the clips were a bit jiggly to work with and a little more difficult to install than other sinks he had done. It is bigger than most single sinks and a bit deeper, which we like cause we can put a whole large frying pan or pot in it flat so that they are easier to wash in this sink than in the double one where they were always on a tilt. We use a dishwasher for most things so we felt that we didn't need the double space. We also gained a bit more counter space. It also comes with a strainer to prevent food stuffs from going down the drain. The strainer has a small handle on it which makes it easier to lift out than other small strainers we had used in the past. And it has a hand towel included as well! It was a good choice for us. Amazon did not have the sink when we ordered it but their service was excellent as far as letting us know when it would be available and when we could expect it to arrive at our home.
