Don't Expect Much

I was looking for a decent pair of boots with a reasonable price. Let's just say that if I hadn't been so cheap and spent an extra $20-$40 for another pair of boots, the difference would have been night and day. My first impression opening the box was that the quality of the material was not the best. The leather upper seems like a cheap leather or like a "pleather." The bottom portion of the boots are like a suede. Living in Ohio where we get snow and rain, I was a little surprised to find that the boots are not waterproof (now the description doesn't claim these are supposed to be.) What is most surprising to me though, is if these boots get wet, when they dry, there is like a white "crust" left that is hard to scrub off and remove. Overall I'm not impressed with these boots and I'm disappointed I didn't spend the extra money. I'm back to looking for boots again and I will not buy these. If I had lived in a dry climate or only wore these indoors, I would maybe buy these again. I gave these boots three stars because of they do fit, they do function, but the quality? I would expect this from a $99 pair of boots. Spend the extra money and buy Ariat, Justin, Irish Setter, etc...

Color of boot

The suede bottom of the boot is much darker in person than what the images portray, in my opinion. A good boot nonetheless, comfortable and stylish. Just be aware of the color - it is not a light taupe like it may seem, very dark.

A great fit for a wide foot

Ordered these in size EEE. Having a wide foot makes it harder to find a comfortable boot, especially one that gets worn for hours at a time. These are great. I was on the line of an 11 or 11 1/2, so I went with the 11 1/2. Glad I did. They were comfortable right out of the box. Did not pinch anywhere and plenty of room in the toe box. Height was excellent on the leg. Was a little concerned about the opening as the measurement given looked like it might be snug, but decided to give them a try anyways. It is less of a circumference than my last pair of boots, but still a very decent opening to slip my foot in. The color and styling on the boot is just right for me. Thanks, Laredo!

Casual or Dress boot only

These boots fit great and offer a lot of comfort for a casual user. I've been wearing them nearly daily for several months. They're not made of real leather, but a composite. I bought them to be a casual/dress boot and they're fitting that role well. Their best feature is the convenience to put them on and their great looks.I wouldn't recommend this boot for hiking or even walking(over 2 miles) or yard work. They're also no good in the rain, and will take on water. They offer no more protection than regular tennis shoe. If you need a work boot, look else where.

Very nice boots but run small

I ordered from Amazon directly, but I have definitely learned Amazon does not get in a hurry at all even if it is a direct order. I wasn't too happy that they waited 5 days to ship. The boots are nice quality, but some reviewers said that they were a little wide so that wide size may not be necessary. I find them to be tight so if your foot is on the upper end of normal go for E instead of D.

Great boots

I purchased these boots because they are the same as a pair I already had, but in brown. Recently having a change of work place (from warehouse to bank) and preferring to wear boots over dress shoes, I needed black to wear for work. The support is wonderful, the cushion is better than I've had in most other boots, and the quality of workmanship is great. I've owned a brown version of these boots for over 4 years and, although worn in, they remain to look very professional, sturdy, and comfortable. I stand on my feet all day and have no aches or pains after the days comes to an end, simply sound comfort.

Fantastic

These are great boots. Now tge uppers are vinyl, but tge bottoms are really nice leather, with great arch support for comfort. I'll be getting a second pair.
