Perfect!
Heartwarming set of farm animal toys. So pretty I want to use them as home decor. I was grateful to find this set at an affordable price from a company (Le Toy Van) that seems to have high standards for non-toxic materials and fair labor/environmental impact. I'm very excited to give this as a gift.

We got the farm animal set and love it! Small toy animals often have weirdly distorted facial features; these are beautifully crafted to the detail.

High quality materials, less than perfect assembly instructions
This was our main Christmas present for both my 4 year old daughter and my 2 year old son. First and foremost, they love it. It is fun for them to take apart and look inside, and relatively easy for the four year old to put back together. It is not obvious from the description, but the pieces are held in with gravity and tongue in groove slots. The farm walls and roofs come apart, and are meant to so the children can peek inside. This is really ideal for my 4 year old who wants to position the animals around the buildings. It is not so ideal for the 2 year old who likes to pull on the support bars. Pulling on these can cause a crack in the base. Which brings me to my 2 pieces of advice: 1) Think twice about giving this to a child that likes to play rough with toys, especially if they are under 3 years old 2) If you do buy it for a young child, consider reinforcing the support bars with fender washers underneath the board. This basically kept our 2 year old from ripping the bars out. And a final comment on the instructions: All the bars look A LOT alike. The company could spend a few pennies on stickers to label them and save the customer a lot of frustration trying to figure out which is which. Overall, though, the install was not too bad, you just have to pay close attention to the groove directions on the figures.

Adorable animal set
I bought the Melissa and Doug wooden barn which comes with really cheap crappy horses for it. So I got this set of wooden farm animals to use with the barn and it’s perfect! Just gifted both the barn and wooden animal set to a friend.

I got these for my 3-year-old son’s castle from Le Toy Van, to create a medieval village feel. They’re sturdy and adorable and perfect for rough handling by small kids.

High quality play set
I ordered this for my son for Christmas and am so pleased with the quality. The panels are all very sturdy and the finish is very smooth and durable. It was easy to assemble - you just screw in about 8 upright corner posts and the rest of the pieces slide into place. The dutch door opens and and shuts with an elastic hinge. The roofs all lift off and in the two taller buildings that reveals a loft space and does not give access to the lower part of the buildings. The stable building in the middle has three stalls. The pig house is not attached to the ground so you can move it around. It has two stalls. I bought a variety of Schleich, Safari Ltd and Mojo Fun animals to go with it as a starter set, and I like that he'll be able to collect more for birthdays and other holidays over the years. This is definitely an heirloom quality toy, but not one that I'd be hesitant to let a small child play with, it's built to last.

Bought these to compliment a wooden barn we already had. Well made, very sturdy, and charming. Some pieces are small so take care with young children.

Great Product
This is a fantastic barn. Santa brought it over for Christmas for our 2 year old. She has a great time putting all kinds of creatures in the barn. It was a little hard to set up. The parts are not labeled so it took my husband and I a bit to figure out which wooden peg went where. It's fairly sturdy. My only issue is the bottom board. It comes folded in half and is only held together by some strong tape. You have to be careful when picking it up and keep two hands under it otherwisebit will fold in half and you'll lose half the barn. Overall great product for the price.

Bad Quality. Bad Investment. Bad Toy.
The worst quality. It arrived with part of the barn broken, as it could have happened during shipping I didn't mind and glued it back together. Put it together and was so happy with the look and feel. However the FIRST it was played with by my children they pulled one of the barn supports through the base. The screw did not keep it in place. This left the base with sharp edges and the 'beam' with a screw sticking out. I thought this could be a one off, however over the next few times it was played with more beams came through, the roof of both barns has the lips snapped off and the pig sty plugs were bent. My children are not rough with toys, we have many wooden toys that are still intact and in good condition. I do not recommend this and would return it if I had purchased it in a store. So disappointed.

Beautiful, Charming, Lovely
This is a great toy. They are good, solid (the cow is about 4.5 inches long), pleasing to hold toys. The soft ears are lovely. And they cost the same as a lot of rubbish plastic numbers more readily available in shops. My son (18 months) loves them...loading them up onto Viking toy trucks, doing the noises etc. He's too young for them technically but removing the bell around the cows neck and the little yellow bird means there is nothing he can choke on and he's past the general mouthing/ nibbling stage....probably just as well given that the set lost a star for lasting the grand total of 24 hours before the duck's (goose?) paint work chipped. Personally I can forgive wooden toys this (they're painted not stained (unlike eg Brio blocks)....the detail and solid colours wouldn't be possible with staining) and, though it is a bit disappointing so quickly, I'd much rather they were loved and chipped than pristine and unloved. Our lack of carpets is the issue really I'd say (and I should say that, 2 weeks on, there are no extra chips...it takes pretty hard, being dropped on ceramic tiles, to do the chipping....abuse more likely in an 18 month old than the recomended 3 year old to be fair) Overall a really lovely set.

Lovely farm
This is a lovely farm which is easily assembled after some basic construction work. It is bright and beautiful, great fun for the children. It actually takes up quite a bit of space and although the sides and roofs come off easily, the downposts do not, therefore you need to have the space to store it constructed. I think it is great value for money. My daughters play with it for hours and it doubles up beautifully as a car park and garage for their cars.

These animals are excellent. Thick, solid wood beautifully painted with lovely fabric ears and tails. Well worth the money, would definately recommend this item.
