Warm but cut tight in the arm pits

Bought this for my husband but instead I wear it because it is ti tight in the pits for him. It is very warm and very comfortable for me to wear even if it is a little big for me.

I LOVE this jacket!

This became my favorite jacket, right out of the box. Looks fantastic! I've received several compliments on it. Fits perfectly! (I'm 6'3" and range from 225 - 235 - I ordered XXL) It's as comfortable as any favorite, broken in, clothing article! The only 'warning' I'd give is that it's not what a lot of people would consider 'Winter weight'. It's PLENTY warm for me, but I have a freakish love of very cold weather.

Great coat

The fit is good, it's very warm, and has a nice vintage look. It is actually a shade darker than the picture, which was a nice surprise

Color is different than pictured

The quality is good. The only thing is that the color is not as pictured. It’s more of a true khaki color (not lighter) and looks army-ish. We ended up returning it.

Pockets need to be better

The pockets need to zip up. I have had keys and my inhaler fall out of the pockets just sitting down. The pockets are shallow and not angled properly causing items to fall out.

when I initially started purchasing Legendary Whitetail I loved their products

Now to start off, when I initially started purchasing Legendary Whitetail I loved their products. I originally purchased their flannel jacket (which I highly recommend. Super soft and just nice in general), but as I purchase more and more of their products some issues come to light. For example the flannel jacket ripped right along the armpit after about a week, now my Oakridge Vintage jack has had one of the buttons come out after about a month. Of course, not a massive deal, but if I am buying a higher end jacket I expect it to be able to last more than a month. Whitetail always does a good job of correcting things when this stuff happens, just annoying having to ship things back to get refunds for defective products when they have been 0-2 with me so far. Everything else about the jacket was nice though, it's warm, fits well and looks nice. Just the quality is sometimes questionable. If it wasn't for the button breaking I would have given it a 5/5

Nice coat for use in the field or around town

Overall, we had a relatively mild winter in western NY this year, so this coat didn't get quite the workout that it might have gotten in a normal winter. But there were a few days with temperatures below zero, and I found the coat to be very warm. It's well constructed, and the fact that the hood can be zipped on and off is a nice feature. It seems to be well constructed, with a heavy duty zipper that doesn't get tangled in the fabric. The canvas fabric is heavy, but soft and flexible -- not as ridgid or bulky as my Carhartt coat. With the hood on, the coat could be used like a parka -- out in the field or woods, and keep you plenty warm. With the zipper off, it's a nice looking coat that you can wear around town.
