These plugs do not disengage as easily as cheaper ones, but that is the whole point! I wanted something that provided a very robust and reliable connection, and also allowed us to connect the furnace to a generator when necessary. This plug is perfect for the task.

Good quality all around
I am for the most part happy with these plug ends. I bought two. My only issue is how the wire feed into the plug during assembly. You must have done this before if your buying one of these. Anyway, the area you get to slide the wire up and under the "clamp" next to the screw is way too small. At least it was on the two I got. I used 14g stranded wire like any cord would have. I had to cut away almost 25% of the wires to get it to slide up properly. It is of good quality and if I got one for a present I would be grateful. If I went to buy another I would look further. Hope this helps. Please write reviews on what you buy. It helps all. Wish I did more...….

Better than factory! Wire reference inside!
So easy and quick to use! All you need is your cut wires and a screwdriver or drill. Took me about 3 minutes. Put the bare wire in, tighten the screw heads, line the body up, screw together and tighten the cord crimp then back to work! **Don’t forget to put the body on BEDORE you attach the plug or you will be taking it off remembering this review! Know what wire to put where. Silver screw - Neutral Gold/brass screw - Hot Green Screw - Ground You got it!!

Expected more from this brand
Difficult to install on a 12 gauge wire. The openings are to small. Will work fine on 14 gauge. Not super happy with this replacement end. Feels cheap, does not slide together even and has no type of seal where the cord enters the replacement end. It works and having a lighted cord is handy. It will just have to be an inside use cord only.

Using with a gasoline powered generator
I used two of these on #10 AWG wire cable back to back to plug into my outside wall outlet and an extension cord which runs to my generator to power lighting and refrigeration inside the house (good for 15 amps at 120 volts = 1800 watts). The green glowing plug is great as it lets me know there is power at the plug. Before having this double male cable I was running extension cords throughout the house to power certain lights but it became "painfully" obvious that the power cords all over the place became a trip hazard - especially where it was dim due to poor lighting. Now I can use any of the standard lights in the house. NOTE! Be sure to flip the main line breaker "off" to the house if you build and use one of these cables so that you don't try to power the whole city - you will just blow the breaker on the generator if you don't shut off the main breaker.

A bit expensive
Product seems to work as advertised, I purchased 2 of each ends, I found one of the lights did not work. I emailed the seller explaining the defect, they sent a replacement right away and gave me a reasonable amount of time to send back the defective one. I rated a 4 out of 5 because of the higher price, and not because I received a defective end. Seller made good right away on the defect
