Darker than the stock photo

I have been looking for new bedroom light fixtures for a very long time. I have been unimpressed by everything I saw in person at the big box stores, so I decided to take the chance and order this light from Amazon. I was debating against the "light bronze" finish that included a shade with honey alabaster glass and the "imperial bronze" finish that included scavo glass. I decided from the stock photo that I liked the alabaster glass better and chose that option. If I had to do it all over again I would choose the scavo glass because, as another reviewer noted, the honey alabaster glass is VERY dark -- more like molasses alabaster. Since I had the circuit off, I decided to swap the switch for aLutron dimmer switch , and it casts a nice elegant glow at lower light levels. I am using three 60 watt incandescent A19 light bulbs, and the light is definitely bright enough if I toggle the dimmer to maximum brightness. I don't have any issue with the color light it casts off. I don't notice it being any more yellow than the old fixture, but I personally like warmer yellow light opposed to cooler white light. A couple other minor gripes - the wire gauge for the fixture is skimpy. It is much thinner than the old fixture. Also, there is no insulation in the shell, so I removed the insulation from the old fixture and placed it in the new fixture. Even though the shade is much darker than I expected, I still like the fixture, and it was a good upgrade. I liked it enough I bought two of the smaller (12 inch diameter) fixtures for two other bedrooms in my house. Looks Great

According to my husband this was easy to install and it looks great... hangs just a little from the ceiling to give a different type of look. I was skeptical of how bright it would be with the frosted glass, but it is super bright. We actually bought a second one for the entry way in our home.

Good quality control

The light fixture is well made and I like the simplicity of the shape. If you want a piece to be a focal point, this is not for you. However, if you want a graceful accent, you will love it.

This light is high quality and looks like one that would cost much more. I was tired of the cheapo hall lights available at Lowes and Home Depot and this fits the bill perfectly. It comes in many sizes too. Love it

Very dark

This is not what I expected. The glass is very dark and the light coming out of it is yellow. Unfortunately I kept it to cover the hole on my bedroom ceiling while I find a lamp that will do the job.

Beautiful color in glass shade

Really gorgeous - nicer than I expected after reading a couple of other reviews . Beautiful color in glass shade. Changing bulbs is a hassle.
