I got this to help my 7 year old visualize how to sound out words. We don't play they game in the booklet. We will make up our own games. I will create a word and she has to read the four sides (some blocks have different letters on each side) to figure out which one is the real word. While cooking dinner, I will give her some random blocks and she has to create a word that includes one of the random blocks. She loves legos. Having physical word blocks definitely holds her attention longer than a worksheet. Cons: 1) The price is a little steep, but I understand it's a smaller niche market education tools. 2) The letters are duplicated on some block sides. For example, a block only has "pi" and "pu" twice instead of pa, pe, pi, pu. Bad for my purposes, but may be necessary for the actual game.

The kids loved this game during my 2nd grade centers. I would have like a dry erase board and markers with it instead of paper. Otherwise it is a great activity for teachers.
