Easy assembled

Fast shipping and easily to make to fit your size . Would recommend to anyone who in need of a quick easy way to get a screen on your windows. Affordable and sturdy!!!!

Works ok, brittle plastic pieces break if you’re not careful

Pretty easy to assemble, I broke a corner tab (be careful not to use too much force when assembling). The pull tabs also confused me - the instructions don’t explain exactly how to orient them. I figured out two options - either cut the screen or break the plastic (it’s scored as if meant to bend into the channel but snaps if you try). I ended up using gorilla tape to make myself a soft tab to squeeze between the screen and the rubber spline. Attaching picture in case anyone else needs to fix the broken tab.

A Great Replacement Kit

Simple and clear instructions. All the parts you need minus the mesh. I used my hobby saw and cutting jig to cut to size. Be sure to read the instructions to get proper size. They come with precut spline to make adding the screen mesh easy. Purchased one set and it worked well that i quickly bought a second as i noticed another screen was damaged while removing it to clean. I would buy this product again and recommend to anyone subsiding them. I did have to purchase a set of springs to keep them in place for one of the screens as they were lost in removal.

Well worth the money

My local hardware store wanted so much money for a replacement screen frame for my old storm door. HDepot or Lowes is about 26 miles one way. As mentioned in a review the corner pieces supplied look like they won't insert into the frame but they do. The instructions do not show how to do this though. It takes patience to cut the pieces of framing. A good sharp hacksaw blade will do it. I also filed down the cut edges a bit for a better fit to the corner pieces. You will also notice that one end of each of the frames has a smashed look. I guess their cutting machine does not do such a great job of making a clean cut. I would measure from the other end so the factory edge is removed. It will make it easier to insert the plastic corners. You will need a spline roller and of course screen material which do not come with this set. The spline is included. Just take your time and you will be happy with the results. I am, my cat can no longer get out the storm door.

Looks great in the window.

It was easy to use. I wish the springs for it were included to keep it in the window. I did find a small screen repair kit that had them at another place.

Much sturdier than HD kit

Very pleased - the built screen is much sturdier and flexes less than the kits I’ve bought at Home Depot and Lowes.

Way cheaper than custom ordering a screen.

Easy instructions. Easily cut to size and assembled. Remember that screen is not included, but for the price, it is a far better option than a custom screen from a local shop. Installed on a horizontal slider.

Well-constructed, sturdy frame

Frames are quite well constructed, they are made of sturdy material and fit snugly with the corners provided. The sturdy material makes sawing the frames easier because they break cleanly along the sawed edge and minimal sanding is required.

Insufficient.

The kit was difficult to assemble because the aluminum was too thick for the aluminum saw I had to go buy and there was no spline tool. The kit also does not provide screen you have to go out and buy a whole roll for much $$$. Once I finally had the thing together, the hollow aluminum bent sliding it into place rendering it useless. I tried a temporary fix because we don’t have AC and came home to find my cat stranded on the window sill 4 floors up. I would recommend buying a better quality kit for almost the same price that actually works and comes with all the thungs you need.

Product bent when it arrived, had to make it straight but still a dent in it.
