A couple things I don’t like so much is the clutch takes awhile to break-in
These are tuff little gun’s. I use them for commercial roofing so I put them to the ultimate test for strength and endurance. I’ve always have used DeWalt screw guns in the past, because they were the only ones (easily available) with the quick-release on it. The Makita feels and sounds higher quality. A couple things I don’t like so much is the clutch takes awhile to break-in, and the nose piece has a tendency to loosen up and fall off. Which can result in clutch spring loss. That happened to me and I had to order new springs. It wouldn’t have been so bad but I couldn’t use the gun and it took two weeks to get the parts. I hope Makita keeps improving on these because I really like the tool.

Does the job
Makita products are always pretty good. Needed this to do one patio roof job and find myself using it often for other heavy-duty screw jobs. I use cordless drivers a lot and am glad to have this one for the extra power for driving a lot of screws. It is a well-made, capable tool.

TERRIBLE SCREWGUN
This gun falls apart at the tip where the clutch is located. It breaks off after a months use. We use it here in light gauge steel frame production and it has been the worst screwgun ever...There have been 8 of these we've gone through which all broke the same exact way. We've used DeWalt DW268's for over 10years here at our company and they out perform the Makita FS2701 10-Fold...DO NOT BUY THIS GUN.
