Good learning toy for kids

This is a good learning toy for kids- we use it for sorting color, counting, addition, subtraction, and also just pretend play! Sometimes we use it as a structured toy (the way it is intended) and sometimes my daughter just wants to serve tiny muffins and have a stuffed animal tea party. I’m a big fan of learning resources and think the majority of their items are quality.

My almost 2 year old LOVES this toy. She is learning colors and this has been the only way she's interested in learning them. Love that it also works on other skills like sorting and counting.

Delightful!

This is a gem! I bought this for my 3 yr old, learning basic math skills. What a treat. The pieces are so sturdy, well constructed and so bright and colorful! Muffins are adorable and a great size for little hands. These pieces are not tiny! And they are solid, not hollow. The dice are large, soft and colorful. The versatility of ways to play, match, sort, count is wonderful. The little cards and dice direct the child to group the muffins into the cups in various ways, or make patterns. She even stacked the muffins (into a pyramid sort of pile) which was a delight to watch. Oh, and the squeezy tweezers! Even I want to use those things!! I was so pleased over all and she is having a blast. I HIGHLY recommend this gem of a product. For learning to count, color sort or just play. I would buy again and again! Now I have to go help her create an oven...because as an added bonus, she's "making me muffins" for breakfast.

Great learning tool for preschoolers!!

This is such a great set!! I love the "pan cards" to allow this set to be used in many different ways! My daughter loves her "tweezers" for picking up her muffins and it is helping her fine motor(she was already way ahead with this, she developed pincher grasp at 4mos-but practice doesn't hurt), overall it is a great set, all that you need to teach kids sorting and patterning. There are SO many ways to use this set. Patterning and sorting are great skills and lead to better math skills in your child's future! Fine motor development leads to better hand-eye coordination, handwriting, and spacial recognition later in life. These are skills to build on and your child won't even realize it, they will be too busy having fun!! :-) The muffins are a great size for toddlers(approx the size of a nickel but round/3d), the foam dice are HUGE(approx 2" square), the muffin pan is high quality, the grabbers are well made and work well-and not only here, my daughter was picking up counting beans(just dried beans from the kitchen) with them as well. The cards are slippery(plastic coated paper for easy cleaning), seem sturdy enough to handle a rough toddler treatment for quite awhile, and fit perfectly in the pan. The reason I am removing one star is for the lack of instructions...what do we do with the die(other than let the 1yr old chew on them). I am sure we will come up with something, however a few suggestions would have be nice. What you see on the screen is exactly what you get.

Really fun!

We just played this today. We used an option where we rolled the dice to see how many and what color muffin to add to the muffin tin. My daughter is 4 yrs old. We both had fun with this. I don't know if I would give this to kids who still mouth items. The muffins aren't tiny but they are pretty small and they are a rubbery type of material.

Really good quality, worth the price.

I just recently went hunting for something to help my two year old learn colours and numbers, and this set is wonderful. My son just turned two, and the set is geared towards three year olds, but it’s also easy to work in for playtime with a two year old as well. I appreciate how well constructed it is, and already my son is able to sort the muffins into colour groups. I looked at a lot of other options that were too advanced for his attention span but this one is great, and I know we will get a lot of use out of it for a few years which is nice.

Great activity

My 3.5 year old loves this activity. There are several games suggested in the box, but he sometimes makes up our own simple games, and loves transferring the muffins with the scoop. Very good for fine motor skills, counting, colours, sorting and turn-taking. Amazing how the simplest of games are usually the best.

Highly recommend!

Love it. Provides various creative ways to play and learn. Kids love the colours and tactile aspects, as well as the fun little scoop - definitely helps with learning fine motor skills, counting, numbers, and turn-taking. We don't play competitively, just cooperatively, but they still learn patience each waiting their turn to play. Awesome.

My toddler loves playing with this! At first it’s hard to use the pickup tool as he didn’t know how to squeeze it but after a few attempts he got the hang of it! The colours are easy to see and distinguish so makes for a great activity
