Easy to Install Toilet Seat

Size, shape and configuration is just right and the design matched one that was acquired some 17 years ago. Install was easy. I was concerned about the nylon clamps and nuts, however, the suggested seat nuts that break off after the regular seat nuts are tighten down is correct. I used the suggested 5/8 inch wrench to tighten down he seat. The hinges are well made with a double hinge configuration for sturdiness. I recommend this seat for anyone who is looking to replace a toilet seat.

Pretty seat. But, you can only clean the painted wood with soap and water

This is my second "Sculpted Ivy" Mayfair toilet seat. I use this in my powder room, and it looks really pretty. Unfortunately, the manufacturer was not lying when they said you can only use soap and water to clean this. I was using Lysol wipes, and after about a year, the inner part of the toilet seat was turning beige and then the paint started peeling off the seat itself. Because it is a pretty seat, and it is strong and well made, I decided to purchase a second one. But, I will definitely only clean the seat with anti-bacterial soap and water. Because this is in my powder room, it doesn't get much use. But, I think for a heavily used bathroom, you would need to choose a more practical toilet seat.

This is my second toilet seat from this manufacturer. This seat is well constructed - beautifully finished - cleans easily and since I have had my first one for many years I know I can expect many years of good sitting service.

Love this seats design so much I went on a search for it to replace our current one which was worn out after many years.... and it's even easier to remove for cleaning than the one we exchanged out. You flip the covering tabs and lift up.

Used to be a great seat

Now it's cracked, only 3 months after installation (rec'd Dec 30/19). I looked high and low to replace this exact seat I had for 14 yrs. This one lasted three months. I don't hold high hopes from the manufacturer for warranty as I am in Canada and this was purchased from the US. But I'll try. Update: Contacted Mayfair for warranty and received a response within 24 hrs that a new seat was being shipped via UPS asap. Impressed and upgraded the rating to reflect that. Left one star off for the seat failure. Still love the look, feel and ease of installation for this seat.

UPDATE I CALLED THE COMPANY AND THEY ARE SENDING ME A NEW RRPLACEMENT! GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE NEVER EXPECTED AS THE SEAT IS PAST WARANTY. I WILL CONTINUE TO BE A LOYAL CUSTOMER FOR THE GREAT SERVICE. I am changing my rating would leave 0 stars if I could. I bought this as a back up because I loved the first one I bought in 2016 so much. I had it stored on a shelf in my closet. I went to put it on for the Holidays and to my horror it is totaly cracked and still factory sealed. It nust have come this way because from the front of the package it looks perfect. Wgen I turned it over to open it I saw the split in the seat. It is still factory sealed. I am over my year of return waranty so I an stuck. My old seat from 2016 is still good but I figured it was time to replace. I am really upset with myself that I did not notice the crack when It arrived March of 2017. I am attaching a picture if it still sealed with the crack.
