Basically exactly what I expected.

This is a relatively narrow wood frame with a real glass front (not plexi). There's nothing special about it, but nothing wrong with it either. It's basically exactly as the description states. It's not going to make your photos or artwork look particularly high end, but nothing without a matte really does. This would work great on a gallery wall or other similar application. You can't beat the price! If you are looking for a more high end look, simply adding a pre-cut matte would probably go a long way. I will caution, my first one arrived with the glass completely shattered, but I attribute that to the fact that very few frames contain real glass anymore, and whoever packed it probably never suspected that this was actual glass. The return/replacement process through Amazon could not have been easier. They do almost all of the work, and the rest of the process can be handled online. Seriously the simplest return process of all time. That makes me much less reluctant to order things that I may or may not want to return, as that is often the biggest problem with ordering things online.

Sturdy frame with two hangers

This is a nice-looking frame, feels solid and sturdy. The back board is 2 mm thick and held in place by metal pins that you have to bend to get the back off and then straighten again after replacing the back. I'm not overly fond of that type of closure, but it seems pretty standard on frames in the US. The frame is designed to be hung on the wall and not to stand on a table. It has three hangers to hang it on the wall either short side up or long side up. I would have preferred one hanger per side, as I already had a nail to hang it onto. Since it had two hangers, I had to pull out the nail and put in two new ones to make it fit where I wanted. I wished the number of hangers would be given with the product info. I've added a picture I took of the backside of the frame to the product gallery.

Great quality frame and good value

Dear prospective buyer of this frame, This is a wooden frame with a glass front, hangers on the back and professional style tabs holding the backing on. For the price, this is excellent quality. A couple tips with this product: use string (not included) between the hangers to hang on the wall as desired, and the tabs that hold the backing on can be bent away and back again to change the framed picture as needed. My only grievance with this product is that it didn't already have the photo of my future wife and step child framed when it was delivered to me. I so would have married her and paid to have the child's teeth fixed through an orthodontist friend of mine. Still, though, I found it hung and looks good on the wall with the stock photo girl I found online with Bing. 5/5

Shipping was the issue.

Frame is great. My problem is that shipping. A glass and wood frame shipped in a plastic envelope. No padding, no craft paper, etc. Item came damaged, but due to time I have to make it work. Disappointed in the shipping method.

Decent for the price (11x14), great for the price (24x36)

Decent quality frame. I'm refering to the 11x14 model. You get what you pay for, no more, no less. I also purchased a 24"x36" frame and was very happy to see that the glass panel was really made of glass. At that price, it's cheaper that a laminate and looks better, and you can change the poster when you get bored of it. I will order more. I'm raising my rating to five stars. Of course, I was lucky that the glass arrived intact. They should used bubble plastic in the packaging instead of plain paper. At least, there was a "fragile" sticker on the box.
