original foot pedal was a disaster, whereby two units failed due to unprotected circuit board which delaminated, a truely bad engineering design.....this unit appears fully waterproof, control is sealed and floats. Only negative is the no LED on remote to tell when motor is on, which is a severely lacking feature. Design of the remote could have been a larger fob with bigger keys, but is adequate.

Works well, Game Changer for using Minn Kota trolling motor!
I got a new Minn Kota Power Drive 2 years ago, and while it worked fine, the foot pedal control was awkward for me, and hard to make small adjustments. I don't get to boat/fish as often as I like, and it took me half a day each trip to get confident with the foot pedal. This wireless controller installed easily, about 15 min and a screwdriver is all that is needed. Worked great right away. Much easier to control direction and speed of the trolling motor with the handheld remote. I wish I had purchased this 2 years ago! Makes fishing much more enjoyable. works well anywhere in my 18' center console. Only issue I had was when a few passengers got between me and the motor it wouldn't respond, one step to my left and it worked. Can't speak to battery life on remote yet, just used it on one 4 day fishing trip so far, with no issues. The foot pedal stays in the boat for a backup, but I don't keep it plugged in.

Worked flawlessly
Be careful, easy to pinch wires, limited space, this upgrade only works on the newer Powerdrives, not the older V2 units, I’ve had both and definitely different packages. I called MinnKota directly to make sure. This worked flawlessly

Amazing!!
Installed the co pilot in about 15 minutes, and it worked perfectly. Just need to be careful with where your wires run when you put the covers back on. Only tool you need is a screwdriver.... its that easy. Personally, i find it's easier to drive with this than with the foot pedal. Great buy, great product so far, arrived quickly and BassPro didn't have it in store or online but I found it here no problems.

That you order the right copilot for you trolling motor
Haven’t used it because our lakes are still frozen ,on that note my minn Kota copilot was vary easy to install in around 30 minutes and working fine in my garage a works amazing will be great not having to use the foot control and using the remote will be nicer
