Very Handy
Keeps my Gatorade or Powerade bottles cold a long time. Nice to have a handle. I haven’t used the zipper pouch yet but I’m sure it would come in handy to store a key fob or other small item. Recommend.

One of the best available, but not as good as its discontinued predecessor.
I've owned this Nalgene bottle holder for just under a year, and there's a lot to like about it. The most important factor for me is the insulation: I fill my bottle with ice and water first thing in the morning and it keeps the ice for hours (works best out of direct sunlight, of course). I appreciate having the handle, and I liked the zip-up pocket for small things (I stored some band-aids, because I have kids and it's good to have those handy) until the zipper pull snagged on something and got yanked off. That was no big loss though. I appreciate that I can drink straight from the bottle without having to unzip a top and then open the bottle. This is the primary perceived shortcoming that has kept me from purchasing a fully-enclosed insulated bottle-holder, although I also haven't liked the placement of the strap hooks on those other carriers. My big disappointment with this carrier is its lack of a carrying strap so I can carry the bottle across my back. Nalgene used to make an awesome carrier that had great insulation and had a well-placed strap. I loved that carrier, and I wore out two of them, at which point I found that Nalgene must have discontinued the product (disappointingly, I got no response from Nalgene customer service about the product). So, I attached my own strap to this one, with one hook on the attachment loop and another on the handle. The carrier loop seems to be made to support hooks, but the handle is not, but that's how I like to carry my bottle; the bottle dangled funny when I put both hooks on the loop. Furthermore, the carrier just isn't designed to rub against something all day (the older product was made with a more rugged material, and it lasted a long time; I think I got about 3 years or so out of each one). At this point, both the handle and the carrier cover have frayed pretty substantially. If you're always going to carry this by the handle and not let it rub against anything, then you probably won't have this problem. For better or worse, though, based on the insulation alone, this is one of the best products currently available. It's substantially better than the neoprene holders, which don't insulate nearly as well, tend to sweat through with condensation, and aren't especially durable. I'd love it if Nalgene would re-release the older carrier, which was durable and insulated, allowed drinking directly, and had both a carrying handle and a well-designed carrying strap. Until that time, this is a reasonably satisfactory substitute.

Doesn't quite fit right
It says it's for a 32 oz Nalgene, it's about 1/2" too short to come up over the shoulder of a 32 oz Nalgene like it shows in the thumbnail.

Everyone wants mine!
This is a great bottle carrier! My favorite thing about it is the handle. These 32 oz Nalgene bottles are sometimes difficult to pick up one-handed (I have small hands), but now I can just slip my hand through the handle and wrap my hand around the bottle & I'm able to grip it securely with no problem. The construction is so sturdy that I've even sometimes picked the bottle up by the handle alone, not wrapping my hand around the bottle at all! And the carrier is attractive enough that I've gotten many compliments from other people who want to know where I got it! My only three issues with the carrier are these: 1) The opening at the top is tighter than other carriers I've owned, and it makes it difficult to slip bottles into it. I've learned how to do it over the past 5 months since I bought it, but it's still annoying. The bottle fits fine once it's in, but the process of *getting* it in is difficult. 2) The little pocket in the side is *really* little. It'll only hold really small/flat things. It's also made entirely of mesh, so you can't put in anything that might snag (like some keychains) or anything that you don't want to be visible from outside (like money). 3) The carrier is padded quite a lot, which makes my bottle considerably wider than it already was. I could see the padding in the photo, of course, but I hadn't realized how much this would affect my bottle's ability to fit in the side pockets of some backpacks. The 32 oz Nalgene bottles already don't fit into many of these, but the padding on this carrier narrows the field even more. The inside of this carrier is lined with some kind of astronaut-looking metallic shiny stuff, and the outside is a sort of vinyl and mesh. They are in at least two completely separate layers. I often visit Hawaii, and my previous, neoprene carriers have always sweated terribly there because of the humidity, leaving me gripping a water bottle that feels like a wetsuit straight out of the ocean: clammy and icky. Since this one isn't made of neoprene, I'm looking forward to my next trip to see if this one fares better in the humid weather. I expect it will.

Perfect for travel, looking forward to more use
Finally jumped on the Nalgene bus after years of trying other brands of bottles, leaking, sweating, or being unable to clean properly due to complex bottle tops/spouts. Grabbed this carrier to go with the new bottle, and just spent a few weeks traveling all over and it performed great. I used a carabiner to clip this to my backpack (through the bottle lid loop as well as the reinforced sleeve loop), never had an issue. 4 different airports, just take it through empty (they'll allow ice), and filled it up inside. Also that let me clip it into the seat back in front of me on my flights. While hiking in Hawaii and Washington, I'd usually fill it halfway and freeze it over night at the hotel, topping it off before leaving the house. Did it stay icy all day in the heat? No, but it didn't get super hot, and that's a marked improvement over other insulated bottles or stainless steel cups. And, this sleeve/carrier produced zero external condensation, especially nice being around sand and dirt. The front pocket isn't big at all, but big enough for a couple of tea bags or powdered flavor packs for the occasional addition. Not having to pay for water in the airport and while traveling, I felt I've already recouped my purchase price, and I'm always happy to not use disposable water bottles unless absolutely necessary! Dreading heading back to work tomorrow, but I suspect in the office environment, this will keep ice all day long for sure.
