Easily and quickly peels and deveins

This makes peeling shrimp easy. Leave tail on or remove it. It works great.

The Best kind of Shrimp deveiner

I have had a metal shrimp tool like this for over 20 years and somehow we lost it. I could not find a metal cleaner and used a plastic one for months. The plastics ones are horrid. This shrimp deveiner just like the one we lost and it works perfectly with one swipe making the job fast and easy.

'Sleek and lightweight' in a "this feels cheap" kind of way.

I had one of these for years; it was heavy, and it was metal, and it was brilliant. But alas, that one was stolen by the kitchen gadget gnomes (seriously? What happens to all the nifty kitchen stuff I buy?), and after an appropriate period of weeping, I went in search of another. This is what I bought, and it's.... all right. The aluminium isn't the sturdiest of stuff, and it dents easily. It's blunt, and while it's efficient enough at pulling the mud vein, it's not-so-hot at tugging the ventral nerve free. It's also -- and this is purely an idiosyncratic thing -- too light. That lack of heft (also known as the 'sleek, lightweight design') just doesn't feel right; it gives that sense that it might snap if it happens to tangle with the wrong crustacean. It does it's job, but it's nothing special.

lobster scissors

I bought this with two other types of lobster/crab scissors to decide which of the three to give as gifts. I was introduced to crab scissors this past summer and was taken aback by the ease of dismantleing a lobster with scissors instead of breaking it apart by hand. I wanted to give some to friends as gifts. I decided against this one because, although I was impressed with the size and shape, I wondered how long the spring between the handles would stay in place. Having not actually used this one for lobster, I may be being unfair to the product. It will be used and perhaps I'll change my mind sometime in the future.

Sharp but not great quality. Good for money u pay.

The good thing about these are that they’re quite sharp. Cuts through the shell very easily. However the lock and the spring broke first day. I been re attaching them and continue to use it.

Cuts Lobster shell easily but

The red plastic clip used to lock the scissors closed broke after the second use. Makes storage a pita because they are spring loaded to be open.

Poorly made but sharp cutting tool that really works.

Bought 5. Springs keep popping out on a couple of them. You have to place the spring back in place and then it works again. Red clasp broke off on one set.
