Does the job

Does the job it is suppose to do. Have to be careful - not the best in sturdiness - first time I used it tipped. Second time I knew I had to be gentle with it. I also wish the bag was just a little bigger. But it did work and I will continue to use it.

It works as advertised!

This is a great strainer when making my Elderberry jelly. I wouldn't want any other option, this does exactly what I need it to.

Helpful gadget

It's a little taller than I thought considering how short the bags are but it strains out fine particles well. I would use cheesecloth for the largest stuff first, then run juice through this for clearer juice. The legs screw into the ring but need to be a little loose if sitting it on the edge of a round pot. If they are tightened so they don't wiggle then they are off the pot. Maybe it should be inside a container instead of balanced on the pot? I'm still glad I got it and would recommend it for small batch jelly.

Great tool for my annual grape jelly harvest

I always wanted to try one of these jelly strainers. I had the idea if allowed to drip freely & slowwwwwly, my jelly would turn out less cloudy. Pretty much true! This strainer & bag set (I bought a couple extras) was very easy to assemble & although I wouldn’t call it super versatile- only one of my bowls proved an instant perfect fit for the strainer legs- one bowl was all I needed. Great price. Quick delivery. Highly recommend. ????

It worked but...

The legs have to be bent if you wanted it to fit the rim of different size containers, which I did. How many time can they be bent before they break? It worked for what I needed it for. I would buy another. I would spent more for a better one.

Works Great!

This strainer worked great. I screwed the legs on, put the bag on the ring, and stretched the legs over the bowl. I had to unscrew a couple of the legs about a quarter to a half turn to line the feet up right on the bowl. I strained 6 pounds of plums that I had boiled in 1 1/2 cups of water and was able to get all of it in the bag. I thought it looked small when I bought it but it holds more than you think it would. And the bag cleaned up great; soaked it in cold water for a short amount of time, hand washed it, and then let it air dry. I highly recommend this product.

Legs a bit wonky

Nice product, but two of the legs when screwed in fully don't line up to sit over a bowl like the photo on the box says. Made in China, so what do you expect? Hoping it will work well for draining ricotta cheese and other stuff.

A huge improvement on my previous ad hoc setups

Totally works great for straining juice for jelly making. The only thing I wish is that the base was wider and could thus stand on a bigger catch bowl... but I suppose things are limited by the size of the straining bag and the ring needed to support it, so I can’t really fault the product for that! Anyway before this I was hanging things in cheesecloth or a clean dishtowel, and I can assure you that this product has greatly improved my canning quality of life overall.

Love it

I used this to strain my red pepper jelly and it works great. The fine cotton bag does better than the tight mesh ones and it is reusable. The stand holds up pretty well to all of the weight and it comes apart to fit into a drawer. Follow the directions for best use.

It is wonderful and super easy to use

I've been using it for 3 years and a half to strain everything. I use the original bag for my homemade yogurt and other bags to strain my broth and jellies. It is wonderful and super easy to use. It's much better than a regular sieve and easier to clean. You should clean it by hand. The screw is beginning to rust a little bit but it's not that bad for a product I use a least once a week since the past 3 years and half.

Worked well for me

Works well, stand reasonably sturdy. There is slight give in the legs so you have some flexibility in bowl size but not a lot. It fits a medium size mixing bowl.
