6 month old finally starting to take to it

I got this for my daughter-in-law, and the following is her review: I didn't realize this was a hippo until I read the other reviews- and we've been using it for several months. I couldn't figure out the purpose of the weird green shape, and I was worried that it would come off and become a choking hazard. I now see that it is the hippo's mouth and all one piece of silicone, so there is no danger of choking. The mitten is smooth silicone, and I love that it wraps around the baby's wrist so that if he lets go, the mitten doesn't immediately fall to the floor. Our son fits the description of a "breastfed baby and baby who does not accept a pacifier," so we were hopeful that this would be a good way for him to self-soothe. However, we have been offering it to him off and on for the last few months, and at six months old, he is finally starting to enjoy using it. He is just beginning to enter the phase of putting everything in his mouth and will start teething soon, so I am hopeful he will decide he likes this soon. Until now, it was too big and heavy for his tiny hand, and he kept accidentally hitting himself in the face.

Great idea

Great for Teething Babies, Cute and Safe

Made by Nuby, this silicone hippo teething mitten is one of my grandsons go to toys. He crawls around with it hanging out of his mouth. I love the easy to grasp feature, even though he would rather let it hang out of his mouth. Easy to Clean and Safe for Babies. Awesome for teething babies. Highly recommend.

Great Paci/teether!

What a great way to keep my infant occupied! This teething mitten is easy to clean, which is crucial for how much use this is getting. My baby holds it and it’s not easy for him to drop if he just opens his mouth or his hand like a standard pacifier since his hand is inside and surrounded by the mitten. He can hold it and chew/suck on it for a long time. I wish this existed for my older child when he was an infant!
