Classic look at a great price
I purchased this rug for my family room to replace a rug my cats destroyed. I was looking for something for a fair price that would hold up to pets and kids. So far, so good! This run looks great with my taupe/gray furniture, but is definitely more taupe than gray, so if that bothers you, go for the gray version. This rug looks more expensive than it was, is softer than I expected, and is a definite winner. I purchased a rug pad separately to help keep it in place, because it will shift if furniture is pulled across it. Rug is causal and looks well-made-I couldn't be happier with this purchase!

Love the look!
I bought this to replace my ruggable. I love that the ruggable washes in the washing machine, but it got a little threadbare in spots after only 3 washes. This rug is natural jute and cotton. It is much softer than I expected and it really does look nice. I got a 1/4 inch felt pad with a rubber backing to go under it. It really cushions it well, but the rug still pulls up if your foot or the dog slides on it. All in all, it's really not a big problem. I will say that it is well worth leaving it to air outside for several days. There is an odor that isnt awful, but more like you would expect from jute sitting around a warehouse for awhile. I use a vacuum without the brush rolling and it works well. I expect that I will haul it outside, throw it over the line and wash it with the hose when the time comes. I will follow up with how that works out.

Well made - gorgeous little throw rug - natural materials.
I love the natural materials/texture, natural & neutral colors. I love that it doesn't have lint/fuzz. It is well-made, tightly woven. Somewhat stiff (slightly) but still pleasant to walk on ( I live in Hawaii, I'm often barefoot and prefer walking on pliable jute than on something fuzzy/shaggy.) My cat likes it. It may need a non-slip pad. I actually purchased two more in different sizes becuase I loved it so much. Will most likely have to clean with a soft bristled brush and mild soapy water. I can already tell that it traps dirt when I walk into my house... keeps the dirt off my carpeted areas. Will have to sweep under it from time to time. This is perfect for me.

Pretty, but very strong earthy/wet dirt smell.
I feel it is worth the price aesthetically. I’m not for sure about the quality, it appears to be made well, time will tell. However, it has an overwhelming mildew smell- like wet earth/dirt in basement of an old house. My boyfriend walked into the house and immediately mentioned it. We are both pretty overwhelmed by the odor. I am aware that jute rugs are prone to smelling earthy but this is pungent. Hoping it goes away in a few days. I will try to update my review in a week or so if the odor subsides. ???? UPDATE: After one month the odor is now mild, unless I’ve just gotten used to it. ???? Either way, it is still noticeable/present.

Shocked how much I like
$160 for a 7’6 x 9’6 Carpet was a steal! The carpet is also so adorable and looks even better than I expected! Definitely came with the mildew smell, but I was prepared and used some carpet deodorizer and shook it off 15 minutes later and no smell anymore :) I see the snags some people were bothered by, but it’s minute and it only adds to the rustic style in my opinion. It is a jute rug + woven so kinda expected.

Surprisingly Soft, No Shedding
Ever hopeful, I buy jute rugs, well, because they are inexpensive and replaceable; however, my disappointment usually exceeds my satisfaction, and out they go. The rugs can smell and shed and splinter and curl at the edges. This rug I bought on a whim to put under an office desk chair that was rolling out of control on our wood floors. I even surprised myself by buying a color so uncharacteristic--it's a shade of rust with a hint of peach in a house of neutrals, but it's under a vintage mid-century modern desk and table. Surprisingly, the color warms the room; it complements an oriental rug nearby, and mostly does not call attention to itself. Best of all, it's soft. It's very hard for me to believe there isn't some cotton in it because of the way it lies and rolls up as well as being soft underfoot. After buying it, I was hoping to exchange it for a larger size but no luck. In fact, many of the sizes and colors are sold out. My only qualm is actually the very very low price which must leave so little for whoever made this "handmade" rug.

INFESTED with bugs!!!
Never wrote a review in my life but I had to warn people!! 1st the Rug took forever to get to me kept get new 'expected delivery' updates, finally get it, hummed and hawed about whether to keep it cause it took so long. Last week decided to keep it and put it out. Husband kept saying he smelt mold, I didnt notice it as much, kept putting our faces up to the rug taking giant whiffs to assess the smell... I want to be SICK. Then I noticed a maggot looking thing crawling across my hard wood, I had a feeling, went searching for a source, lifted the rug and.... well see the pictures. Im sooooo disgusted, I can't get comfortable in my own home now, I feel like there are bugs crawling everywhere.... oh and I'm out over a $100 + whatever it cost me to sanitize my home.
