Works great but change must change led

The media could not be loaded. Works great led is to dim needed to change it to something brighter ibreplaced the led with a led dome light bulb not its ten times better i also connected an fuse puller along the line just for easssy access to pulling fuses out when blown. Inpove the fact the tip is spring loaded So i can just push down to test and push forward to test wires. Spring is strong. 5 starts if it didnt have such a weak red light i mean come on guys you get a sturdy hardware but the light sucks. Ill post a pick of my test light set up and a in action video video.. Remember the name trust the review

Not LED! Awesome incandescent tester!

Just so everyone is clear Yes, the bulbs are red and yes the current draw is low when used on a 12V circuit (around 30 milliamperes) but this is not an LED test light. The relatively low current is because this is designed to work on a 24V system as well. Having said that... This is a great tester! Very versatile (6V - 24V). High impedance lamp is safer for automotive computer circuitry. Red light is easier to see in direct sunlight. Cord stretches smoothly yet doesn't dangle near moving parts and springs back easily, even when cold. (Stretching beyond 8' takes a minute to spring back). Just a great overall general-purpose test light. [Clamp is crimped - I recommend soldering it] The package incl. 2 replacement lamps (red).

Will only show if you have a circuit, not for chasing a draw.

The particular one I ordered didn't specify if it was LED or regular incandescent bulb. It came LED... I didn't notice until the weekend when the weather was favorable to track down a drain on my battery. Totally useless to check draw, an LED won't dim as you pull fuses/disconnect circuits to chase down a draw. Luckily a friend dropped by as I was rooting around for a suitable bulb to use in place of the LED and we used his "regular" style one.

High quality circuit tester

There are many similar testing lights, this one is very heavy duty, high-quality flexible cable, the fine tip on end is the correct size for testing fuses with 2mm opening. I highly recommend this circuit tester. I previously bought a cheaper item similar to this one. The wires broke off after a few uses in tight spaces. This unit is superior and will last many years in my opinion.

Direct FIT

I bought it for my craftsman electrical test light. It fit and worked just fine. Its nice and easy to detect when it lights up red.

LED NOT INCANDESCENT

Test light doesn't come with the green coil wire, it comes with a red one. The main earth clip is of poor quality and doesn't have a good clamp force so I have had to replace this with a more suitable clip. The bulb in this an Led inside a glass tube to give the effect of an incandescent style lamp. So again this was quickly placed in the bin and replaced with one of my OTC replacement red bulbs. The actual body of the device and the probe are of good quality as is the screw on alligator clip which is a main reason I purchased this light. Overall with a bit of modification you can make a decent test light.
