Well constructed with good finishing
Just bought a mission style bed for our guest room and this was a perfect side table with the bed. It was easy to assemble and looks nice.

Quality product, with proper assembly
I read a lot of reviews that complained about difficulty of assembly, and how people couldn't get the cams to lock, etc., but I decided to go ahead and make the purchase, as I had a suspicion, as with reviews for other products, that a lot of the "difficulty" could be chalked up to lack of knowledge/skill, or the use of improper tools for the job. My assembly experience was quite different, and went quite smoothly. I took my time, and it still only took about 20 minutes to put together. The cams did take some force to lock, but that assured me they would not come unlocked. I used an appropriately-sized flat-tip screwdriver on the cams for extra torque instead of a phillips, which in my experience, tends to slip out when trying to lock cams. Also, when installing the cam bolts, do not use a power drill, but instead, use an appropriately sized hand screwdriver, and pay attention to when they are flush with the tabletop. The nylon inserts are threaded, but because they are nylon, they will easily strip if over-tightened. If you take your time and DON'T USE POWER TOOLS, especially on the bolts for the cams, you should not have any issues assembling this. I am betting 95% of assembly issues are user error. As for the quality, the frame and side pieces are solid wood, the top and lower shelf are engineered wood, and for the price point, I would expect nothing more. The finish on all pieces was satisfactory, but especially on the top and shelf, and for my purposes (a bonsai table), it is perfect, if not a little too nice. Also, once assembled correctly, the table is very sturdy. Bottom line, these are great for the price and an excellent value. Be sure your skills are up to the assembly, and if not, get some help, but don't bash a perfectly acceptable product because of lack of experience and skill.

Looks nice for the price, but a nightmare to assemble
The GOOD: It looks very nice - not like a custom oak piece, but way better than a $66 dollar mass produced composite table. The BAD and the UGLY: I would overlook moderate assembly problems, but affixing the top is near impossible to get right. The 4 cam bolts must be screwed to within less than a millimeter of the proper height to work properly, because these cams require friction to lock: If the bolts are too low there is no friction, and if too high you cannot close the lock. No guidance is given as to what the right bolt height is, or if it is the same for all 4 bolts. (Screwing them in all the way does not work.) To make matters worse, the provided cam locks are made of a soft alloy, and the provided allen wrench does not fit them precisely. (Other cam locks have a harder head, and the head often takes a simple phillips head screwdriver.) The bottom line is that you have to be VERY careful not to strip the thread while tightening the cam lock. But since these cams require friction to lock, it is hard not to strip the head! I managed to pick up the table by its top and carry it 5 feet to its current location. Beyond that, I do not trust my end result enough to lift this table by the top again, and I plan to go back when time permits and put in my own biscuit joints, or at least glue the top at the few points where it makes contact with the rest of the table. (There is a small gap between the crossbars and the top, about one millimeter.)

Nice little table. Easy to assemble.
Probably a $159 table if bought in a furniture store and of similar quality. Fit and finish were acceptable. Assembled in about 20 minutes. Needed a shorter table (18-20" high) for my elderly father. This one was a winner.

Assembly Instructions and cam bolts
For the most part a nice table. The cam bolts end in a flat head screw design that's not very robust with the shank. I twisted the head off one of them while tightening them into the table top. I tried to follow the instructions assembling leaving every loose and could not get the cam nuts to engage or lock the assembly into the table top. Being an engineer and mechanical designer I found it better to lock the side rails to the table top first worked much better than the instructions. After that the table went together much easier.

It assembles fairly easy. I think some of the joints/connections could be more robust. I think it’s an appropriate level of quality for the price.
