Compact and very comfortable
Used on a few hiking trips since purchased, Helped in organizing the backpack and also make sure nothing spills and get all over the inside of it. The three difference size range from enough for two sandwiches /few electronic devices to enough for a 4-5 day hike . Materials feel durable enough for the price but not to the point where you don't worry it'll ever break.

Totally would buy again!
These were a gift to a friend, and they use the bags when they go to the gym and shower. They are perfect for keeping things dry and hold a lot! They keep thanking me every time I visit! One of the most useful gifts I could ever have thought of! I will be buying more, but this time for myself!

Decent value for what they really do and are - an honest review.
I bought these as sub $10.00 organizer sacks (slightly water resistant) for hiking with my backpack. I just opened the package and inspected them, and I think they will perform adequately for that purpose. Most of the reviews on this item are pretty accurate, unlike many Amazon Product reviews where I am left feeling, "I have no idea what to believe". For a $10 item (3 sacks) you will not get a Dry, Compression, Stuff sack(s) that is the same as top tier manufacturers that can charge even $30 or more per single item - that only makes sense. The package labeling "ULTIMATE DRY SACK" is pure hyperbole. However, the front of the package also states "watertight roll top compression" - well, if you roll the top 3-5 times, the top only might resist water to the innermost fold. Most true, however, the package also states "weather resistant" - well that's more to the heart of the matter of what they really are. If you wish to increase water repellency treat them with Nikwax or some other DWR equivalent. The inside of the sack (which looks like rip stop nylon) appears water repellent and they do actually have taped seams! This would never approach the quality on my Mystery Ranch backpack or Marmot shell, but you get what you pay for. Just define what purpose it is that you need these "organizer sacks" to fulfill, and have reasonable expectations. If you want a "real" Dry Sack or Compression Sack, you will likely have to bite the bullet and spend the money. *As a side note I have had a Outdoor Products Backpack Cover ($5) for 2-3 years and used it all year round in the Pacific Northwest where we know about the rain. Of course I gave it a DWR treatment and have had no problems with it. It's a bit clunky but I didn't want to spend $30 on a premium product at the time. I even bought a second one for my friend and he is/and has been happy with it.

Why the difference in experience and reviews?
I got my first set in 2006, 2/4/8 liter sizes, with green the biggest. I got a second set somewhere between there, with yellow being biggest size, and much smaller than 8 liter. Just picked up a third set for son at Walmart, yellow still biggest, but now a tad closer in size to old green one, just a tad narrower. SKU and product numbers have been exactly the same through the years. Why the difference in reviews and experience in use? Probably because different vendors made the bags for Outdoor Products. My labels show different vendors made the bags in China, and you can see different quality between them. 1st and 2nd set have end of plastic/clip strip double-tacked to the bag, much stronger. 3rd set is not. Width of taped seem is different between them all, 1st set being widest. Material backing the rubber strip is different between the sets too. I'm sure in effort to keep price point the same 7 years later some cuts were made to the product, and now that large bag is bigger again, something had to give. Suggest you test waterproof ability for your own needs. I've used the 1st set only since 2006 as food bags for 4-5 day backpacking trips in winter, big green (now yellow) being big enough for 3-4 Mountain House food meals, and other dinners, medium was breakfast stuff, small was lunches with the daily lunch actually in a small ditty bag carried in my leg pocket. Rolled up and hung on big carabiner outside up in tree or bear line over night, or during day hikes, and rain only a couple times (winter camping so snow not as bad), stuff never got wet. And air retention does seem to be good. I'd trust it with clothes that I'd desire dry if there was potential issue, and may use the extra sets for that now. I'll use the double-tacked ones for hanging up. I just broke out 2nd set and discovered the difference in size of large bag, and then in Walmart saw set again and noticed the large was bigger again, so bought it - so no experience in using 2nd and 3rd set, merely what has changed in process of making them. I'd say if you need better guarantee of dry, you've noticed dry-bags are much more expensive than this, and you likely know the reason why, even if the urge like me was to get something cheaper.

Good bags, not really water proof though
These are a good size and a great price. They are pretty durable as well. I like that they are all different colors so you can distinguish which one is which. I use the yellow for my sleeping bag, the orange for clothes, and the blue for my cook set while backpacking. Cons: They are not really water proof. They are actually only slightly water resistant. If you splash water on them, or if it starts raining, water will bead up and roll off, but only at first. If you leave it in the rain for more than a couple minutes, water will soak through. You also can't really set it in a puddle or anything like that either. I was backpacking while raining. During a break in the rain, I stopped to have lunch on trail. My sleeping bag was in the yellow stuff sack at the bottom of my pack. I set my pack on some wet grass (but it wasn't a puddle or anything). It was there for only about 15 minutes. Water from the wet grass soaked through my pack, through the stuff sack, and soaked about 1/3 of my sleeping bag. (Thankfully I got to camp early enough to let it dry out). Just beware if you are backpacking in rainy and wet conditions, you will want to purchase a more water proof dry bag. Otherwise, these are great for dry conditions, or for things that you don't mind getting wet.

Best Bags on Amazon!
I brought these bags with my to Banff Alberta and found they worked best in a system. Red Bag: Held all my fire / cooking stuff "Fire Bag". If I needed anything fire related I knew it was inside the red bag. Gas/stove, waterproof matches, extra lighter, flint. It held everything Yellow Bag: "Food bag" I ziplocked all my food into freezer bags first as just to double down on the water proofing / food smell from animals and it worked perfect. I even threw it up in the Bear hang for 3 nights and it kept everything dry through 2 really bad rainstorms. Blue Bag: "Water bag" I put all my water related stuff into this back as it was the smallest of the three, I was able to store my water filer / extra filters. Water holding bag and lids. Can't go wrong with these 3 bags if you are going camping. Oooo Almost forgot. They also work great for bringing beers to the park, you can fill these bags with ice and toss a few beers in and it will keep them cold for awhile

Fragile ... but inexpensive
If you're shopping around for a dry bag then you know that brand-name ones can be quite expensive ... but there is a reason for that! These bags are not very durable! I've only used these once for a 3 day hike and there is a small tear in one of them. I don't have anything particulary sharp in my bag. I will be purchasing one or two "real" dry bags from my local sport store and I will keep these as a means of organising what goes into my pack. When you think about it ... if the purpose of a dry bag is to keep something, possible expensive, dry on a trip ... why cheap out!

Water resistant, not proof.
I'm giving this 4 stars. Pros: very lightweight, water resistant. Cons: not 100%waterproof, not air tight. These are great for food, toiletries and possibly clothing as long as they are only exposed to rain... Not submersed like a canoe tip. I'm am overall happy with the purchase and the price was excellent.

Perfect fit for the price
One of the best investments I made for my portaging trip. Keeps things dry, but most importantly keeps things organized. After a long day of carrying more weight than you should up some very steep hills, it can me frustrating figuring out where the essential (input whatever you looking for). With these colour coded bags, it helps keep things separate. You do get what you pay for, so they aren't made of thick material (you'll have to have them inside your pack to keep from tearing) but they work great and keep things perfectly dry. The three separate sizes are also great to keep things organized. For me it was Red for emergency/fire starters/cleaning and medical, Blue for lights/duct tape/Nightly entertainment, and yellow for clothes (was able to fit 3 underwear, 3 socks, 1 long sleeve, 1 T-shirt, 1 pair of shorts all of which were mostly made of polyester or other synthetics for quicker drying, lighter weight, and smaller space for packing)

Great value and they work
These dry bags are surprisingly good for the price. Like most other dry bags they warn you that they are only "water resistant" and "should not be submerged". That said, I tested all three of these by stuffing them with paper towels and then submerging them in water in our laundry tub. In each of the three tests, the paper towel remained completely dry. These bags are pretty thin though so I wouldn't trust your expensive DSLR camera to one of these bags, but these are great for most items non-critical items when canoeing, kayaking or spending time near water. And at this price point under $20, they are actually a very good deal - you can be spending double that amount for just one dry bag - not three.
