Love OXO as always

I replaced another name brand spray mop with this one and its 100% better...I always love my OXO products so I should have bought this wet mop to begin with! Doesn't leave any streaks like my old one did. It's very sturdy but yet light enough to use with one hand when needed.

Good product wish it was washable

I love this mop system for our laminate kitchen floors. Helps to scrub off all the messes my kids make. Wish I could throw the scrubbers in the washing machine but they do last awhile which is nice.

Wrong refill sent

This refill was pictured with the scrubber and so I assumed it would fit the item I was buying. It doesn’t. This refill shouldn’t be pictured with the scrubber because it doesn’t work with it. Very disappointing. And so the low rating on it.

Great improvement over my old Bona mop(s)

I bought this after two Bona mops failed on me in two years (one broke, the other stopped squirting water properly). I wish I'd made this change sooner, since this is a much better mop. What I like: 1. Sturdier than the Bona mop. The handle and parts feel better made, and the squirting handle has better squeezing action. 2. More maneuverable. The swivel head makes this a breeze to use in a small space, especially around corners under kitchen cabinets. 3. Easier to refill. The Bona required an act of Congress to remove and reinsert the spray bottle, which I'm sure contributed to the failure of my last Bona mop. This one pulls out and reinserts easily, smoothly, and with no Congressional drama. 4. The spray has better direction. The Bona tended to spray way out in front of the mop, so you ended up mopping twice the area you wanted to mop, just to clean up excess solution. This one directs the spray much more neatly, so spot-cleaning really is just cleaning of that spot, and not the whole room. I haven't used the scrubber thing, so I can't comment on that. I do use the BonaHardwood Power Plus Deep Cleaning Pad , which have mild scrubber strips built in, so I don't feel like I need OXO's extra one. And that brings me to the one thing I don't like about this mop: it's narrow. The Bona pads hang out each side by a good couple of inches, which means it takes more passes to clean the floor completely than it did with the Bona mop. (I'm not going to buy a bunch of new pads for this mop, since the Bona pads fit *well enough* and work fine with it.) If they make this mop a little wider to speed up cleaning, this will be a pretty much perfect spray mop for my needs.

Excellent Swiffer alternative! Also - solution to a common complaint

Before I get to my review I have a solution to one of the complaints I saw in the reviews. Some people say that the bottle leaks when stored. I haven't experienced that however when I'm done mopping, I simply remove the bottle (which is super easy) and store it upright next to the mop on a shelf. No opportunity for leaks that way! I never thought I would actually like a mop/floor cleaner so much. Here's what I love about it: * Environmentally friendly - no plastic bottles or pads to end up in the garbage. Also there's no battery (none needed!). You can use an environmentally-safe cleaning solution of your choice. * Cost-effective - costs about the same as a Swiffer, but no need to purchase expensive bottles of cleaner or single-use pads. * Easy to clean - simply remove the microfiber pad and rinse; or you can toss it in the washer (though I would air-dry it) * Pet-friendly, kid-friendly, non-allergenic - because you can use whatever cleaning solution you like - vinegar & water or any commercially-available pet-friendly/non-allergenic retail cleaning solution. I personally love Mrs. Meyers' Lavender cleaner. * Easy to use - Same basic concept as Swiffer, but the handle is more ergonomic. It's kind of like a regular spray bottle's sprayer, and there's no need for a motor or batteries. The spray comes out fully and evenly. This mop is also much lighter than Swiffer and glides across the floor easily. *It's also very easy to store, takes up about the same room as Swiffer would, but you don't need to also store extra bottles of cleaner or boxes of pads. I have a small apartment and one pad is plenty for me, but if you have a larger home and/or pets/kids that dirty the floor a lot then I'd recommend getting an extra 1-2 pads so you can switch them out. However you could always just rinse the pad to clean, and then reuse it midway through as well. So if you haven't made your mind up yet, what are you waiting for? Get this mop now! It's amazing!

One of my best purchases ever.

What a cleverly and carefully designed mop. Best on the market. They must have patents on this as don't think its been copied. DID NOT BEND BACK ONCE IN USING THIS GEM ON A FILTHY FLOOR WITH ENCRUSTED DRIED ON DIRT. PROS: 1. The mop heads are sturdy and either padded or foam filled, but not too thick so can fit under tight spaces. Also are a little smaller than base so can give good softer clean along edges. 2. Mop heads fix to base by simply throwing head on floor with cleaning side on floor, then place base onto mop head. 3. Light plastic liquid container is easily removed, filled, returned. How great to avoid those noxious prefilled pads. 4. Floor needed some dried on sticky stuff removed. With gentle foot tap of a lever scrubbing pad slipped out. Sprayed are with cleaning liquid and scrubbed. After use scrubber is easily slipped back into its housing and hidden away. 5. Mopped floor, spraying areas with cleaning liquid when needed. Peeled off mop head and attached clean one, mopping up with clean water as desired. Mop heads I thow in washing machine. They cost about same as about a dozen disposal wipe. sSeems most friends don't bother with the pure water mop but I'm lazy and think the water clean off of any residual detergent results in extension of time between mops. I go days without mopping... Well more than days sometimes, dirty me. I am so happy to have found this gem that does away with both the need for those wipes that all give off sents that irritate my lungs a nd also the need for a bucket and mop.. Even a bucket with wringing/centrifuging action is a lot of work/storage. And spray mops with the water in their poles are not as well weighted. CONS: None I can see or think of., I'll amend here if any come up I paid full price for mop and spare head and scrubber. Now I've used can see the spares are not necessary. I have no connection with this company. JUST LOVE TO SEE GOOD THINKING DESIGN. THANKS OXO.

Easy to use

The mop arrived today. It was easy to set up with cleaning fluid (I used dilute fluid). Sprays just a small amount of water onto the floor but enough to clean it. The scrubber slips out easily with the pedal and goes back on just as easy. I love this mop and it will make my life so much easier. No more getting down on my hands and knees to clean the floor. I have Amtico flooring throughout, so I should be able to get the cleaning job done in a fraction of the time. As the mop is ready to go with detergent, it is ideal for cleaning up spills in a jiffy.

Rethinking the mop and bucket

This is a very good quality floor cleaner. The design of the mop head makes it very easy to clean floor areas up to and around corners and under fridges, etc. The cleaning fluid spray bottle works very well. And the trigger handle means you can spray and mop in the same stroke. I never thought I’d have so much to say about a mop, but this is a great design.

Easy to use

Wonderful invention. So much easier than a mop and pail. The little scrubbing part actually works well and is very useful. Easy to pull out and get rid of odd marks. Brilliant.
