Open Box - Like New BUT Partial Set
Received AC adapter for Camera. Adapter was not working. Used an AC adapter with the correct voltage/current and Camera started working. Did not receive AC adapter for monitor. Tested monitor on my own USB battery pack and monitor works well. Received mounting base as well. Returning and ordering again in hopes that my next "open box / Like New / original packaging" will have all the pieces fully functional or be able to interchange to get a good set for the price.

18 months later...
We purchased this item 18 months ago. We have it mounted on the wall, which makes the viewing angle.. special, for the most part, but doable. The pan and tilt is a nice function but does leave a blind spot if you are trying to mount it above the bed. We just pulled the crib away from the wall a few inches and all was fine. We are now running into issues with it "charging" and sometimes it says there is an error. When you unplug it, it shuts off but turns back on when the charger is reconnected. Not a dealbreaker. Battery life is meh, especially at this point. It only lasts a few hours with no movement if it's not charging - but then again, I have a toddler now so it's really a moot point. We don't need the monitor all day long for a gazillion naps a day anymore. The zoom is okay, I rarely use it since we have it mounted above the bed. Motion detection and noise alerts are adjustable and work well, there is a constant volume on it if you have a noise machine going. To get it to stay quiet, you'll need to shut the volume off which may or may not work for some people but the screen lights up when there is movement or noise above the set threshold. The "extended" range is a joke. I'm sure it works better than others but by no means is this gonna get you very far. I can usually go outside and about 4 houses down (very close houses) before I start having issues. The main point of this "long range" was really to be able to walk to our bus stop and pick up the other kid if one was napping, it doesn't work. So I basically facetime an ipad and set up a stream from there to make sure everything is okay from my phone since they're secure in their crib. It works all the way through the house and into the yard so there's that, but we have a very small lot so if you have some land - you may not get the same mileage. Overall, not a bad purchase it has absolutely done it's job for this long and I'm not upset with this purchase. It definitely stretched the distance further than our first one that was a knock off video monitor. I prefer this one over that for sure but did wish it had a bit more range. Oh, but the temperature monitor is absolutely not accurate. We have a thermostat dot in the room after the monitor kept telling us it was 86 in there (it wasn't).

Camera quality not great
I really enjoy this baby monitor. The only thing I dislike is the sound quality of the lullaby features they have & the camera quality. It’s fuzzy and not that clear. And the lullaby sound is raspy. Otherwise I enjoy the monitor

After 9 months of use I recommend this one!
I have used this for 9 months now, I was worried after reading some negative reviews before I bought it of saying how the battery is bad, how the whole thing died after only a few months of use, etc. However, I am pleasently surprised, when I put my little one to sleep in the evening I sometimes stay up for a really long time and the battery holds out for around 4-5 hours. Night vision and picture in general is good, nothing over the top, but not needed for the schere purpose of knowing if the baby is still asleep or has woken up. Sound is good. You can pretty much adjust every and anything. It has music that can play remotely, change camera angles remotley (if your little one wanders around the crib like ours), you can adjust alerts as well. The only thing that might be off is the thermometer l, sometimes it shows a higher temp by 5, 6 degrees, which can be confusing at first, just keep an eye on that still. Maybe it's just ours that has a slight malfunction, but the settings for temp alerts can be changed as well. All in all would totally recommend, it's a reasonable price compared to others and has worked well so far.

Battery life is lacking. Good monitor.
If you want a simple monitor that is not mobile and only has a 1-2 hour battery life, get this one. We are satisfied with it other than the battery life. If has decent picture quality but can be a little hard to see if baby's eyes are open with the night vision. We got this one because of the range and the range seems to be good. No issues with the monitor when baby is on the 2nd floor and we're in the basement. (2 story plus walk out basement)

Works fine - microphone not as good as Infant Optics
After our Infant Optics DXR8 finally died, we decided to replace it with this model. This model has a few extra bells and whistles we haven’t used. It works fine for our purposes. I like that it has optional noise and movement alerts as well as modifiable temperature alerts. It feels sturdy and well built. It’s frustrating that there’s no feedback from the unit when you turn it off. With our old Infant Optics monitor, you’d press the off button and it would show you an off screen. This model just goes dark the same way it does when you turn off the screen, and there’s no power off indicator. When we talk with our daughter using the mic, she always has a hard time hearing us, whereas on the Infant Optics, we could have full conversations. I wish there was an off switch on the camera. I worry I might damage it by just pulling the plug daily without letting it power down, but it seems really wasteful to just leave it turned on all day when we only need to use it at night. The range is supposed to be very far, but I find that I’m at one out of three signal bars when I’m up one flight of stairs from my daughter’s room.

Great quality and practical!
Loving this baby camera! It’s super good quality. The camera moves around the room according to movement/sound detection. It works seamlessly and the monitor shows everything smoothly too! I am very happy with this product! Totally recommend!

Returned monitor.
The monitor would die quickly which I could have been ok with… the problem I had with it is it wouldn’t give an audio warning when the battery was dying or when you were out of range. I had it happen a few times where the monitor was in my pocket and I was doing other things then I would hear the baby cry (not on the monitor I could just hear him crying in his room) and/or I would check the monitor and it would be dead or disconnected. If you want an audio warning then you get beeped at everytime the baby moves or there is noise (I use a sound machine so that was ALWAYS). I returned it and bought one from Walmart that was less money and far superior in my opinion.

Range is not as far as assumed
Great photo quality but the range was not as far as described. I own a monitor with 1000ft range and it reaches farther than this monitor outdoors. I returned this monitor because sadly I needed one with Long range.

Complete Japanese package
Everything thing seems flawless, just like any other pure Japanese product. Very simple to use. Could have been operated with more modern technologies, but this also enough for a busy mom with a newborn sweetie. Not requiring wi-fi is an asset, remote control and camera linked to each other once you turn them on, as simple as this. Recommended…

Long range, clear visual and sound
Hands down best baby monitor on the market. I specifically needed a long range monitor to get through thick walls. Absolutely zero issues with this monitor, fantastic range, clear images with amazing night vision, clear sound on both camera and receiver, small and compact. Only issue is that package shipped from America and so didn’t have power outlet for Australian sockets which was a bit annoying. Otherwise PERFECT device. Highly recommended.

Top quality and nice features
Good quality overall. Nice to be able to remotely move the camera, define squares within the frame for monitoring and set different triggers. The build quality is good and solid for what it is. The lullabies are useful though still loud at the lowest volume and anything above the second volume sounds really bad. The speaker is probably the biggest weakness, but I think the other features make up for this. As this is the American version you'll need a plug adapter for Australian outlets. Shame there's no Australian version.
