Very happy!
I bought these because my son is cruising and starting to take some steps and he needs protection for his feet while we are out and about and these fit the bill. He has been using soft, leather soled shoes for a while, but with his increased steps, that wasn't enough. These are still very soft and bendable for his feet, but give more protection if he steps on a rock, etc.. My son also has a bit of fat on the top of his foot so a lot of shoes won't fit over his foot if they just have elastic, but these get over and secure tightly with the hook and loop closure. Robeez don't fit over his foot and have been a waste for us. These look cute and have held up fairly well. They aren't getting hard use and probably wouldn't withstand that sort of treatment, but they weren't created for that. Overall we are quite happy with them.

Overall good shoe for a "pre-walker"
I bought these for my son, who is a "pre-walker." At home, he is either barefoot or wears grip socks on the hard wood surfaces, but now that he is "cruising," he needs something more protective for outdoors. They don't seem to bother or distract him as much as some of his crib shoes did. (That's not to say that he never pulls them off, just not as frequently.) They are also easier to get onto his foot, and stay on his foot more securely, than any other version of a shoe that he's had. Also, these shoes are less chunky and cumbersome than shoes for toddlers who REALLY walk. (FYI, I marked this as bad arch support because there is none. Babies are flat footed and do not need arch support. So, while it's factual that these shoes have no arch support, it's not a bad thing.)

Great shoes, runs a little small!
These shoes are the best out there. I tried a couple different brands, robees, mini stars etc but this shoe is the best one for my 9 month old crawler. My son is about 20 pounds on the chubbier side, so I figured I should size up based on the reviews here and they were right. The 12-18 month shoe is a little big for him, but I'm sure he will grow into it in no time. The shoes are light but sturdy. He seems more confident in his walker when he has them on. The only thing I'd note is he can easily lift the Velcro strap and remove his shoe... But he doesn't like to wear shoes period, so take that with a grain of salt. I'd buy pedipeds again, great shoes for kids!

Awesome Shoes For That Walker
I was looking for a shoe that would help my newly walking son maintain his footing. These shoes did the trick and then some. My son has wide feet and these fit them just fine. We were also pleased with the appearance of the shoes. Not that I really care, but every time we went out, someone would tell him that they love his little shoes. I recommend these to anyone who has a walker to be, or a new walker. The bottom of the soles are softer than grown up shoes, but they are still plenty of coushin for a toddler. I will be using these shoes on my next son as well. They were durable enough to easily last his feet before they grew into anther size.

Finally shoes that are wide enough!
My son is starting to stand so I'm looking into getting first indoor/outdoor shoes for him. I had robeez soft soles but the band was too tight and the toes area was too skinny. I had his foot measured half a month ago at a Stride Rite store and they recommended a 4.5Wide. Skechers size 5 was also too tight and I couldn't get his foot in. So I decided to try these and his foot fit right in! It's still a little too big (long) but by the time he takes his first steps, I think it'll be perfect. I also noticed the bottom material is different from what's in the picture. The picture shoes leather, but when I received it, it was more like rubber so I think that's why previous reviews complain about it being too slippery? It wasn't slippery at all on carpet with these rubber bottoms but they are still just as soft and flexible but thick enough to provide protection against anything sharp on the floor.

Shoe size Info
The problem with amazon.com shoe shopping for baby is determining what is the right size. So I'd like to let you all know, that I purchased this shoe for my son, and assumed that 6-12 would fit him. Well... it does but barely. I believe these shoes will only last about a month, before becoming too small for his feet. Age: 9 months 3 weeks Size Purchased: 6-12 Weight of my baby: 17 lbs (he's very long for his age) --- not a chunky baby How does it fit? Snug. I should have purchased 12-18 months. My son is almost a size 4 in infant/toddler sneakers. I like the shoe, it is exactly what I expected; but, 6-12 months is really for a baby who is closer to 6 months rather than 10 months. So if you have a 10-12 month old, I'd recommend purchasing 12-18 months for a kid this age, that is, unless you have a small child.

Nice toddler shoe
These are nice toddler shoes. I like not having to put a young child in a hard soled shoe. We've bought four pairs of pediped soft soled shoes over the years and several hard soled pairs. They're well made and last a long time, long enough to be handed down to younger siblings (please pediped, make a gender neutral shoe!). This pair was a bit of a disappointment as the heel loop came undone and frayed within a few weeks of purchase. I tend to think it was a fluke with this pair since none of our others have had any quality problems.

Good fit
I've always loved pediped and this pair is no exception. Easy to put on and my 16 month old seems very comfortable in them.
