Can create a custom fit and works really well to solve pulling
After trying several harness options for our hound mix who is a strong puller we were thrilled to find this product. We find it easy on and off for frequent walks and she pulls a lot less and stays closer to us during walks. Fits well without leaving marks on her neck and she doesn’t back her head out of this like she was doing with several other collar and harness options we tried.

Works well
This works well. Fits my dog well and fully adjustable. This makes me feel so much better when working on training with my dog.

Works well
This collar works great for my dog and fits nicely. She is a larger dog so I’m not sure how well this would work for a smaller dog

Adjustable but Not for Me!
This collar for us seemed like a good idea in theory but trying to get it to actually work has proven pretty difficult. I don't think there is anything wrong with the collar it just sucks that once you adjust the collar almost to the smallest it can go, it gets kind of wonky looking. Our dog is a German Shepard/Pit mix and his neck is pretty fluffy and the collar was just sagging on him in the beginning. But as I started to tighten it, it kind of gets lopsided, with the buckle being a huge part pressing on his neck. I wish this collar came in a smaller size so then if it needs to be tighter then it wont get so lopsided when the prongs are adjusted.

Weird to setup and isn't fool proof but seems to work decently!
I was very confused on how to set this up and it took two of us but we finally figured it out! It's very sturdy and works as it should. Got it for a dog that thinks she's pulling a sled full of people and gear or something... She is only medium sized but she has a LOT of pull in her. I refuse to use nasty choke collars or the metal pinching ones but got excited when I saw this more humane alternative. It never seems to pinch or hurt her at all (or it'd be in the trash instantly of course) but it does make her more aware and less prone to pulling. After the initial shock of something new, after about a month- she randomly pulls again. It seems to be mainly on days she's just super excited I guess but at least I still have many days of her not yanking my arm off so it's not a complete loss as it used to be that she'd pull non stop every single day!

Depends on the dog.
I have studied animal science, and I have trained both dogs and owners for over a decade. I have practiced both strictly positive reinforcement, and also incorporating punishment. As for behaviors, you can likely get any dog to "train" a behavior by finding a reinforcement or reward that they will work for, but this does not mean that that behavior will be reliable if the excitement of that reward wears off or if there is something even better tempting them. Take a large breed that is over half your weight and it sees a squirrel. It could walk beside you for a treat every few minutes, or it can be caught up in its desire to chase. Unfortunately, the latter can end up winning and the momentum of the dog can cause you to lose the leash. Scenarios like this are why I think you have to have some physical power over your dog, power steering if you will, and anything less is a safety hazard. With some dogs a flat collar is enough. But I have experience with some working breeds that have a really high pain tolerance and that's not enough. This is a good compromise between a tradition prong/pinch collar and a more humane device. This isn't going to dig into the skin if used incorrectly, like some might do. Just make sure that it is worn up high on the neck, which should be easy enough as this buckles. This also won't come apart at any of the prong links, as sometimes happens. It's really a genuine idea, and I like how each piece can be removed to make it smaller. You still have to learn how to use it appropriately, as overuse can make a dog ignore it, and not doing it strong enough the first few times can create a tolerance. The idea is that you should not have to nag with it, and if you do, then you are not using it correctly or it is the wrong device for your dog. This is not as strong as a typical pinch collar if your dog is already accustomed to it, so it might not replace what you have been using. I like it though. Note, I had to go to the smallest adjustment to fit my German Shepherds, so you might want to size down.

more humane than metal prongs
I ordered this dog collar to use with my dog. I ordered the size large as I have 2 larger sized dogs. The sizing was fine. I didn't fully read the description before ordering (totally my fault), so I didn't realize it had the rubber points on the inside. The rubber points are soft, but I still didn't feel comfortable using it on my dogs. I'd rather stick with a traditional collar or harness.
